7 Disney World Rides That Could Find New Homes
Disney World has a habit of making familiar attractions feel different without changing them at all. A new themed land opens, a franchise receives a bigger presence, and suddenly a ride that has occupied the same spot for years seems as though it belongs somewhere else.
That’s particularly true of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland provides a fitting futuristic backdrop, but Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land already celebrates Buzz and his fellow toys through attractions such as Slinky Dog Dash and Toy Story Mania!. Moving the space-themed adventure there could bring the franchise together in one place.

The same argument applies to Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. Its home in Tomorrowland has served it well, but the planned Monstropolis land at Hollywood Studios could provide a more obvious setting for Mike Wazowski and his monster friends.
Other attractions might benefit from a change of park altogether. Jungle Cruise’s exotic wildlife animatronics could make it a natural candidate for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, while “it’s a small world” celebrates the international cultures that are central to EPCOT’s World Showcase.

Frozen Ever After is another attraction with an alternative home worth considering. Its current location in EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion is entirely appropriate, but its characters and fairy-tale atmosphere would also complement Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland.
Meanwhile, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind could arguably fit Hollywood Studios, where its cinematic origins might feel more at home. Star Tours – The Adventures Continue faces a different dilemma: although it remains at Hollywood Studios, the arrival of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has given guests another, more immersive way to explore the franchise.
None of this means Disney is likely to dismantle functioning attractions and rebuild them elsewhere. Relocations would be costly, disruptive projects, and every ride has its own history. Nevertheless, as Disney World continues to change, some of its most familiar experiences might make more sense in entirely different surroundings.
