Unmagical Behavior at Disney World: Police Respond to Physical Altercation at Hollywood Studios
A physical altercation drew deputies to the Disney’s Hollywood Studios area of Walt Disney World Resort on Monday afternoon. The call was logged as a battery, and officials have released very little about what happened or who was involved.
What the Scanner Shows

At 3:12 p.m. on October 19, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office took a 911 call about “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” at an address on Showbiz Boulevard. That road generally corresponds to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or the Walt Disney World Resort hotels nearby. The account @WDWActiveCrime, which monitors Central Florida law enforcement activity, posted the scanner entry on X (formerly known as Twitter):

A street name alone doesn’t pinpoint the scene of the crime. The incident might have occurred inside the theme park, at a nearby Disney Resort hotel, or on transportation serving the area, including the Disney Skyliner, watercraft, or buses. Nothing in the public report narrows it down.
Details Still Missing

The people involved haven’t been identified, and there is no information about whether anyone was injured or how seriously. It also isn’t known whether those in the altercation were guests, cast members, or unaffiliated people passing through the property.
Walt Disney World Resort and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office have not commented publicly. A published police report or criminal charges could eventually provide more answers.
Operations Continue

The My Disney Experience app didn’t list any operational delays following the incident. Guests planning to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios or other Disney destinations across Central Florida can continue as scheduled.
