Disney World Confirms Major Changes to Jollywood Nights Starting November 7

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting ready for another holiday celebration, but guests attending Disney Jollywood Nights in 2026 will notice some exciting differences.

Disney has announced several additions to its popular after-hours event, including a new holiday lounge, two unusual character meet-and-greets, and changes to a returning skating show.

With tickets costing as much as $199 per person, Disney appears determined to give guests more reasons to attend this year’s celebration.

And some of the newest experiences could become major draws for longtime Disney fans.

A Brand-New Holiday Lounge Is Coming to Hollywood Studios

One of the biggest announcements involves Animation Courtyard, which will welcome a new experience called Checkin’ It Twice Lounge.

This holiday-themed location will give guests a place to relax between attractions and entertainment offerings.

Disney has confirmed that the lounge will feature specialty beverages, a live DJ, and entertainment throughout the evening.

That could make it an appealing destination for guests who enjoy the atmosphere of Jollywood Nights just as much as the attractions.

Unlike traditional Christmas parties, Jollywood Nights leans into the glamour of classic Hollywood, combining festive decorations with music, entertainment, and opportunities to dress up for the occasion.

The new lounge fits right into that concept.

Disney hasn’t released the complete beverage menu or explained exactly what entertainment guests can expect. More details are expected before the event begins.

Still, the addition gives visitors another experience to explore during their limited time inside the park.

Two Monsters, Inc. Characters Are Joining the Celebration

Disney is also introducing some unexpected characters to Jollywood Nights.

George Sanderson and Needleman from Monsters, Inc. (2001) will make their first appearances at the event.

While Mike Wazowski and Sulley usually receive most of the attention, these supporting characters have become recognizable to fans of the Pixar movie.

George is especially memorable for his unfortunate encounters with the Child Detection Agency, while Needleman works alongside the other employees at Monsters, Incorporated.

Their arrival could make for some entertaining photo opportunities.

Rare character appearances are often a major selling point for separately ticketed Disney events, particularly among guests who have already met the more familiar characters.

Disney hasn’t announced where George and Needleman will appear, so guests will need to wait for additional information before planning their evening.

Glisten! Is Getting a Disney Character Makeover

Another major change involves Glisten!, the skating show performed in front of the Chinese Theater.

For the first time, Disney characters will become part of the production.

Disney has confirmed that Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Genie will appear during the show.

It’s a noticeable addition to an entertainment offering that already brings a festive atmosphere to the center of Hollywood Studios.

The company hasn’t explained exactly how the characters will participate, but their appearances should give returning guests something different to look forward to.

For anyone who enjoyed Glisten! during previous Jollywood Nights events, the updated production could be worth watching again.

When Does Disney Jollywood Nights Begin?

Disney Jollywood Nights returns November 7, 2026, and continues on select evenings through January 5, 2027.

There are 15 scheduled event nights, with the celebration officially running from 7:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.

Ticket holders can enter Hollywood Studios beginning at 5:30 p.m., giving them additional time to explore the park.

Tickets range from $169 to $199 before taxes. Children ages 3 through 9 receive a $10 discount, and eligible Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can also save $10 per ticket.

For guests considering attending, the newest additions may make the event more appealing.

Between the lounge, unusual character appearances, and updated skating show, Disney is expanding the experiences available during the holiday celebration.

And with only 15 event nights scheduled, guests interested in attending may want to secure their tickets before their preferred date sells out.
