Disney World Confirms New 2027 Resort With 967 Rooms and Direct Magic Kingdom Access

Walt Disney World is getting ready to welcome a brand-new resort, and guests finally have the opportunity to reserve their rooms.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is scheduled to open on July 1, 2027, bringing nearly 1,000 new accommodations to the Florida vacation destination. The property promises waterfront views, Disney-inspired rooms, and several amenities that could make it a popular choice for families.

However, there’s been one major obstacle for guests hoping to book a stay.

Until now, reservations were limited to certain groups. That officially changed on October 8, 2026, when Disney opened bookings to the general public.

With reservations now available to everyone, families planning a 2027 vacation can begin exploring what Disney’s newest resort has to offer.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Reservations Are Now Available

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will sit along Bay Lake, between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

The waterfront location will provide guests with a relaxing environment while keeping them close to Magic Kingdom.

Disney Vacation Club Members received the first opportunity to book accommodations on October 6, followed by Walt Disney World Annual Passholders on October 7.

Now, everyone can make reservations.

Guests can book directly through Disney’s official website or by calling (407) 934-7639.

However, visitors should remember that room prices will vary depending on their travel dates, selected accommodations, and views.

Those hoping to visit during the resort’s opening weeks may want to explore their options early, especially if they have a particular room category in mind.

Nearly 1,000 Rooms Are Coming to Walt Disney World

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will feature 967 rooms across several accommodation categories.

Smaller travel parties can choose from resort studios, duo studios, and deluxe studios, while families needing additional space will have access to one- and two-bedroom villas.

Disney is also introducing three-bedroom grand villas inspired by Fantasia (1940), which can accommodate up to 12 guests.

Meanwhile, the duo studios will feature inspiration from Encanto (2021) and sleep two people.

Perhaps the most interesting addition will be the resort’s waterfront Lake Houses.

These freestanding A-frame accommodations will draw inspiration from Brother Bear (2003) and sit directly along Bay Lake.

Depending on the accommodation selected, the Lake Houses will sleep five or eight guests.

For visitors looking for something different from a traditional Disney hotel room, these waterfront accommodations could be especially appealing.

Disney Is Bringing a Lazy River and New Dining Experiences

The resort won’t just offer new places to sleep.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will feature an outdoor recreation area called The Wetlands, complete with multiple swimming and play areas.

Lakeside Lagoon will serve as a zero-entry swimming pool with a spiral waterslide, while Daydream River will give guests a lazy river experience.

Children can also enjoy Heron Shores and Otter Springs, two play areas inspired by Pocahontas (1995).

Another swimming option, Perspective Pond, will offer views of Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Dining will be another major part of the resort.

Guests will have access to Moonglade, a lakefront table-service restaurant, along with Bay Lake Provisions for quick-service meals.

Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will provide another option near the pools, while Branch & Brush and Dandelion Terrace will offer lounge experiences.

Dandelion Terrace will also feature fireworks views.

A New Disney World Vacation Experience Is Almost Here

Transportation should also be convenient for guests staying at Lakeshore Lodge.

Disney plans to offer direct boat service to Magic Kingdom, allowing visitors to reach the theme park without relying exclusively on buses or personal vehicles.

That could be particularly useful for families who enjoy taking midday breaks before returning to the parks.

With its waterfront location, extensive recreation options, and variety of accommodations, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is shaping up to be an exciting addition to Walt Disney World.

And now that reservations are officially available to everyone, guests no longer have to wait to secure their stay.

The resort opens July 1, 2027, giving Disney fans another reason to start planning their next Orlando vacation.
