Walt Disney World Annual Passholders have three new dates to keep on their radar this August.
Disney has updated its Passholder calendar with three additional “Good to Go” days, giving eligible Passholders more opportunities to visit the theme parks without making a park reservation beforehand.
The newly added dates are August 13, August 17, and August 26.
For Passholders who prefer spontaneous Disney World trips instead of planning every park day far in advance, these additions could come in handy.
Disney Adds More Good to Go Days
Disney introduced Good to Go days as a way to give Annual Passholders more flexibility within the theme park reservation system.
Normally, Annual Passholders still need a reservation to enter a Walt Disney World theme park. There are exceptions, including visits after 2 p.m. on many dates. Magic Kingdom operates differently on Saturdays and Sundays, when the after-2 p.m. reservation exception does not apply.
Good to Go days make things even simpler.
When Disney marks a date Good to Go, eligible Passholders don’t need to secure a theme park reservation before visiting. Disney has now added August 13, August 17, and August 26 to that list.
Once Disney designates one of these dates, it will remain a Good to Go day.
That means Passholders can confidently make plans around the newly announced dates without worrying about Disney reversing the designation later.
Why This Can Make a Disney World Visit Easier
The biggest benefit here is flexibility.
Annual Passholders often use their passes differently from guests taking a traditional Walt Disney World vacation. Instead of planning an entire week months in advance, a Passholder might decide that morning to visit EPCOT or head to Magic Kingdom for a few hours.
Theme park reservations add another step to that process.
Good to Go days remove that step.
Instead of opening the reservation calendar, checking availability and reserving a specific park, an eligible Passholder can simply decide where they want to spend the day.
It can also help Passholders already staying at Walt Disney World. Plans change during vacations, and having a Good to Go day could make it easier to adjust a park itinerary without having to worry about reservation availability.
Annual Passholders Have Plenty of Perks
Good to Go days aren’t the only benefit available to Walt Disney World Annual Passholders.
Disney offers Passholders several perks that can include resort room discounts, dining discounts, select ticket discounts, attraction previews, special Disney PhotoPass opportunities and exclusive magnets.
However, park reservations remain part of the Annual Pass system on many dates.
That’s why these calendar additions are worth watching.
A date that previously required a reservation can eventually receive a Good to Go designation. Passholders who checked the calendar earlier in the month could therefore find that their options have changed.
Three More August Dates Are Now Available
For now, Passholders can add August 13, August 17 and August 26 to their list of Good to Go opportunities.
Eligible Passholders won’t need theme park reservations on those newly designated dates.
It’s not a massive change to the Annual Pass program, but it is another reason Passholders may want to keep checking Disney’s calendar throughout the month.
For frequent Disney World visitors, sometimes a little extra flexibility is one of the best perks Disney can offer.
