Disney Suddenly Scraps ‘The Muppets’ Addition From Hollywood Studios
A new Muppets addition has disappeared from Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Earlier this year, Disney debuted Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at the Florida theme park. The reimagined attraction replaced Aerosmith with Kermit, Miss Piggy, and The Electric Mayhem, introducing a new storyline and soundtrack to the indoor roller coaster.

The attraction forms part of Disney’s renewed focus on The Muppets following the closure of Muppet*Vision 3D in 2025. Its arrival brought new merchandise, food, drinks, and character details to the area surrounding the coaster.
Guests can purchase attraction merchandise at Rock Around the Shop, while FØØD by Swedish Chef serves Muppets-themed refreshments. Its current menu includes Wocka Wocking Nachos, Pink Le-moi-nade, and Pond Water Limeade.
Disney briefly expanded that lineup on August 1, but the new item was removed from sale within hours.
Disney Removes New Muppets Novelty Cup
Disney introduced a Muppet Labs-inspired novelty flask as an optional upgrade for guests purchasing Pink Le-moi-nade or Pond Water Limeade.

The souvenir featured the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets logo on one side. The other showed Kermit, Miss Piggy, and The Electric Mayhem traveling in a limousine, referencing the storyline of the attraction.
However, by approximately 5:30 p.m. on August 1, the flasks had been removed from sale. Cast members reportedly said it was unclear when — or whether — they would become available again.
Disney originally advertised the cup as available “while supplies last,” suggesting that it could disappear once the initial stock had been sold.
However, reports from Disney’s Hollywood Studios indicate that the remaining cups were intentionally removed rather than simply selling out.

Disney has not explained why it stopped offering the flask. The company has also not released a recall notice or identified any potential issue with the product.
It remains possible that the cup could return following an adjustment to its design, packaging, or sale process. At present, however, Disney has not announced any plans to restore it to the menu.
Guests who purchased the flask during its limited availability appear to have secured a relatively rare piece of Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets merchandise.
More Muppets Merchandise Remains Available
The removal does not affect the wider range of Muppets products currently sold at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Rock Around the Shop continues to offer Kermit and Miss Piggy NuiMOs, plush keychains, clothing, jewelry, and other merchandise inspired by the characters and the updated roller coaster.
The attraction has become the franchise’s primary presence at the park since Muppet*Vision 3D closed in 2025. Disney removed the long-running theater show to prepare the surrounding area for an upcoming Monsters, Inc. expansion.

Muppet*Vision 3D originally opened in 1991 and was one of the final Muppets projects completed with the involvement of Jim Henson. Its closure prompted fans to campaign for the attraction to be preserved or relocated elsewhere.
Disney has not confirmed whether Muppet*Vision 3D will reopen at another location. The company has instead continued introducing new Muppets experiences through the roller coaster, its surrounding retail location, and FØØD by Swedish Chef.
Interest in the franchise also increased following the February release of a Disney+ special starring Sabrina Carpenter. The production revived the format of The Muppet Show, although Disney has not announced a full-season renewal.
