Disney World Confirms Massive Holiday Lineup, Major Park Transformations Set for 2026

Walt Disney World has revealed its first major details for the 2026 holiday season, and the celebration will once again stretch far beyond the four theme parks. From returning Christmas parties and seasonal festivals to festive entertainment, hotel decorations, shopping experiences, and special discounts, Disney is preparing for nearly two months of holiday fun across the resort.

The holiday season officially begins on November 13, 2026, and continues through January 6, 2027. Here’s a breakdown of what guests can expect.

Magic Kingdom Returns to the Center of the Celebration

For many visitors, Christmas at Walt Disney World starts at Magic Kingdom.

One of the biggest returning offerings is Frozen Holiday Surprise, which brings Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and a crowd of snowgies to Cinderella Castle. The nighttime show ends with Elsa transforming the castle into a sparkling winter centerpiece.

Disney also confirmed that Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will continue operating during the holiday season on nights when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is not taking place. On party nights, guests will instead see Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

The park will once again feature festive decorations throughout Main Street, U.S.A., and beyond, creating plenty of holiday photo opportunities.

Jingle Cruise is also returning for the season, bringing seasonal jokes, decorations, and holiday touches to the classic Jungle Cruise attraction.

Meanwhile, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returns on select nights with exclusive entertainment, treats, attractions, and holiday-themed experiences.

EPCOT Brings Holiday Traditions to World Showcase

After Magic Kingdom, many guests will find themselves heading to EPCOT for another seasonal favorite.

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays returns from November 27 through December 30, 2026. Included with park admission, the festival celebrates holiday traditions from around the world through entertainment, food, and cultural experiences.

Disney has not yet released the complete food lineup, but guests can expect seasonal kitchens, festive beverages, and specialty treats throughout World Showcase.

Combined with holiday entertainment, the festival remains one of the most popular seasonal offerings at Walt Disney World.

Hollywood Studios Embraces Holiday Nostalgia

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will once again lean heavily into classic Christmas atmosphere.

Sunset Seasons Greetings returns, using projection effects to transform the Hollywood Tower Hotel into a collection of festive scenes inspired by beloved Disney stories.

Guests can also enjoy a seasonal version of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, complete with holiday music and a special finale featuring Olaf.

Elsewhere in the park, Toy Story Land will receive its annual holiday decorations, while Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear greet guests in festive outfits.

Hollywood & Vine will continue hosting Minnie’s Holiday Dine, while Walt Disney Presents will feature a seasonal exhibit showcasing props, artifacts, and holiday-themed short films.

Animal Kingdom Keeps Its Holiday Favorites

Disney’s Animal Kingdom once again offers a different style of holiday celebration.

The Merry Menagerie will return to Discovery Island, bringing handcrafted puppets inspired by winter animals, including reindeer, penguins, foxes, and polar bears.

Once the sun goes down, Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition will light up the park icon with seasonal imagery and music.

Guests can also meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in festive explorer outfits at Adventurers Outpost.

In addition, artist Rob Kaz will appear at Island Mercantile from November 1 through November 22 while showcasing holiday artwork.

The holiday season won’t be limited to the theme parks.

At Disney Springs, guests can enjoy the return of the Christmas Tree Stroll, featuring themed displays inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars stories. Disney has also confirmed the return of the Toy Story-themed tree.

Nightly snowfall in Town Center, seasonal entertainment, Santa Claus appearances through December 24, and the holiday overlay at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar are all returning as well.

Across the Disney Resorts Collection, guests can expect holiday decorations, themed displays, seasonal music, and specialty food and beverage offerings. Whether visiting Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, holiday touches will be found throughout the resort hotels.

Disney will also offer discounts of up to 20% on select resort hotel rooms. Florida residents can save up to 25% during select travel windows, while Annual Passholders can save up to 30% on select stays through December 24.
