Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Area To Shut Down in July
Guests with dining plans at one of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa’s most beloved restaurants have just over a month to lock in a table before the doors close for an extended refurbishment.
Grand Floridian Café Gets a Closure Date

Walt Disney World Resort updated the official Grand Floridian Café webpage on June 9 to confirm that the Table-Service restaurant will close for refurbishment on Monday, July 20, 2026. Sunday, July 19, will be the final day to dine at the Victorian-style hotel’s casual breakfast and dinner staple.
Until then, Grand Floridian Café will continue operating on its current schedule — brunch from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Walt Disney World Resort has not announced a reopening date or shared details about the refurbishment.
Cítricos Steps In for Brunch

Beginning July 20, Cítricos — a Table-Service restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa that typically operates for dinner only — will temporarily expand its hours to cover brunch service from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
What that brunch menu will look like hasn’t been confirmed. It’s unclear whether any Grand Floridian Café menu items will carry over to Cítricos during the temporary service expansion, or whether an entirely different menu will be offered. The restaurant currently accepts reservations only for dinner, so the morning service may operate on a walk-up basis, though Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t confirmed either.
Part of a Larger Transformation

The Grand Floridian Café’s closure is the latest development in an ongoing wave of construction at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which began last year and is expected to continue through early 2027. The resort recently debuted The Perch, a first-of-its-kind golden birdcage-shaped lobby bar.
Guests staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa during the refurbishment period should expect some daytime construction activity in the area, though Walt Disney World Resort typically schedules noisy work during hours when guests are most likely to be at the theme parks.
