Unexpected ‘Indiana Jones’ Changes Confirmed for Disney World
A recent permit for Disney’s Hollywood Studios may point to another Indiana Jones expansion.
A new filing submitted through the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District references work taking place near Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The permit lists the location as 253 Cypress Drive and uses the project title “Project Fedora,” seemingly referencing Indiana Jones’ trademark hat.
The site sits between the exit of the stunt show and Backlot Express.
Disney has not publicly announced any project there, and the permit itself does not specify what is being built.
No attraction, restaurant, retail space, or entertainment offering has been confirmed.

The filing also does not clarify whether the project will be visible to guests or tied to backstage operations.
Still, the Indiana Jones reference attached to the project has already sparked speculation online, particularly given Disney’s recent focus on the franchise at Walt Disney World.
Disney Expanding Indiana Jones Presence Across Disney World
Indiana Jones has become a larger part of Disney’s long-term plans for Walt Disney World in recent years.
Disney has closed DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to make way for a new Indiana Jones attraction. The ride will anchor part of the park’s upcoming Tropical Americas land.
Disney previously stated the attraction will feature a new story rather than re-creating Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure.

That project remains in development, with Disney expected to share additional details closer to construction.
At Hollywood Studios, however, the franchise already has a long-established presence.
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular opened in 1989 alongside Disney-MGM Studios and remains one of the park’s final opening-day attractions still operating in largely its original form.
Over the years, the show has repeatedly faced rumors about possible replacement plans as Hollywood Studios shifted toward more franchise-heavy lands and attractions. Last year, an incident involving the boulder used during its opening led to changes within the show.
Hollywood Studios has changed significantly since its debut.

Entire areas tied to the original “working studio” concept have disappeared, replaced by expansions like Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The Indiana Jones stunt show, however, survived each round of redevelopment.
