Toy Story Land Entrance Replaced as Iconic Hollywood Studios Landmark Moves to New Location

Guests walking through Disney’s Hollywood Studios have started picking up on a subtle difference in one of the park’s busiest corners. It’s not a new attraction or a major construction project, but it’s enough to make people pause once they notice it.

For many visitors, this area has always delivered a clear “arrival” moment. It helped set expectations before stepping into one of the park’s most immersive lands. Now, that moment feels just a little different, and it’s quickly becoming a talking point among regulars.

Why Toy Story Land Keeps Drawing Crowds

There’s no denying how popular Toy Story Land remains. From the oversized theming to the playful atmosphere, it instantly transports guests to Andy’s backyard, with a feel that’s both nostalgic and energetic.

The rides drive much of that demand. Slinky Dog Dash continues to pull long waits throughout the day, often ranking among the most sought-after rides in the park. Toy Story Mania! offers a competitive, fast-moving experience that keeps guests coming back again and again. Meanwhile, Alien Swirling Saucers adds a lighter, family-friendly option that still stays busy.

With that mix, it’s no surprise guests prioritize this land, whether they head there first thing in the morning or return later in the evening.

The Return of a Familiar Landmark

The change that’s catching attention centers around the Toy Story Land entrance sign. It’s back—but not where many guests expect to find it.

The sign disappeared in July 2025 to make room for construction on a new snack location. At the time, most people assumed it would return to its original position once work wrapped up. Instead, the space evolved in a different direction.

A popcorn and snack stand opened in early 2026, taking over the sign’s former spot. The location serves items like Pizza Planet-style spring rolls, along with popcorn, drinks, and even alcoholic beverages. While the stand added more food options, it also permanently changed the layout of the entrance area.

For a while, the sign was completely missing. Now, it has returned—but it sits across the walkway instead of reclaiming its original home.

Why Placement Changes the Experience

On paper, moving a sign doesn’t sound like a major update. In practice, it affects more than you might expect.

That original placement acted as a clear entry point. Guests knew exactly when they had stepped into Toy Story Land. With the sign now positioned differently, that transition feels less defined. It still works, but it doesn’t hit the same way.

Photos are another piece of the puzzle. The entrance sign used to be an easy, natural photo stop. Families would pause, snap a picture, and then continue into the land. Now, the setup feels less convenient. The sign sits off to the side, and nearby traffic makes it harder to capture that same moment.

The snack stand also plays a role here. It draws people in, which creates more congestion in an area that used to feel more open. Guests stopping for food, checking menus, or waiting for orders all contribute to a busier entrance space.

A Slightly Different First Impression

None of these changes takes away from what makes Toy Story Land special. The rides, theming, and overall energy are still exactly what fans expect.

But the first impression has shifted. It’s a little less direct, a little more crowded, and just different enough for returning guests to notice.

For anyone planning a visit, it’s worth keeping in mind. That familiar entrance photo might take a bit more effort, and navigating into the land may feel slightly less intuitive. Still, once you’re inside, everything that makes Toy Story Land a favorite remains intact.
