The Cast and the Story

Lacey Chabert leads the cast as Lindsey, a woman whose plans for a perfect family vacation at Walt Disney World go sideways when she discovers her hotel room at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is directly next door to Philip, played by Travis Van Winkle, the man from her most disastrous first date. As their families keep crossing paths throughout the resort, the tension between them starts to shift, and with a little help from the Cinderella fountain, Lindsey’s holiday wish for magic begins coming true in the most unexpected way.

The supporting cast includes Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Bryce Dufee, Taegen Burns, and Asher Alexander with a special cameo from Patrick Renna rounding out the ensemble.

Where at and How It Was Filmed at Disney

Production ran from early December 2025 through late February 2026, making it a three-month shoot at one of the most logistically complex filming locations imaginable. The crew worked around park operating hours, managed guest interactions, and filmed inside fully operational theme parks during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year.

Magic Kingdom was the primary location, with multiple scenes filmed around Cinderella Castle and the Wishing Well, including a key holiday wish sequence featuring the full cast. Sections of the park were temporarily closed for filming during production. Disney’s Hollywood Studios hosted additional filming, including scenes in Toy Story Land. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort appears as a plot-critical location where Lindsey and Philip discover they are neighbors.

Early December filming likely captured the parks in full Christmas decorative mode. Principal photography ramped up in January after holiday crowds cleared while some seasonal decorations remained in place.

Why This Film Is a Big Deal for Disney

Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True marks the first-ever collaboration between Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World on an original film. The relationship between the two companies stretches back decades to a friendship between Hallmark founder J.C. Hall and Walt Disney himself, which eventually produced the first greeting card to feature Mickey Mouse.

The Disney partnership almost certainly brought a larger budget and greater production access than a standard Hallmark Christmas movie receives, as evidenced by the three-month production window, the depth of the cast, and the range of filming locations across the resort.

The first posters are out. The premiere is coming. This is the most anticipated Hallmark Christmas movie of 2026, and it was filmed inside the most magical place on earth.
