Disney Fans Call for “Lifetime Ban” for Guest Who Preached a Sermon at Magic Kingdom

A TikTok video showing a man delivering a Christian sermon from a raised flowerbed in the Cinderella Castle hub at Magic Kingdom Park has gone viral, and the Disney Parks community is divided over whether Walt Disney World Resort should have done more to stop him.

TikTok user @jonathan.perde posted a video over the weekend showing himself stepping up onto the edge of a raised flowerbed in the heart of Magic Kingdom Park to address the crowd of guests passing through the Cinderella Castle hub. As thousands of Disney Park visitors moved through one of the busiest intersections in any theme park on earth, he delivered a Christian sermon:

“Hello, everybody,” the man said. “Hey, I want to let you guys know that this might be a Magic Kingdom, but this is only a temporary Magic Kingdom.”

Some guests kept walking. Others paused to listen. Within seconds, a Walt Disney World Resort security cast member arrived and began instructing him to step down.

He continued anyway.

“There is one kingdom that will be forever, and the way to get to that is by Jesus Christ,” the guest said. “He died on the cross for you so that you could be saved. God bless you, guys. Repent and believe in the gospel. Sin wants to destroy you, but Jesus has come to bring life.”

The man eventually complied with the security cast member’s instructions and stepped off the flowerbed. His final words before walking away: “Let’s go. Praise God.”

The security cast member departed after he stepped down, leaving it unclear whether the TikToker faced any further consequences from Walt Disney World Resort.

The Rules He Broke

Regardless of the content of the message, the behavior itself is a clear violation of Walt Disney World Resort’s official code of conduct, which explicitly prohibits “unauthorized events, speeches, or use of any flag, banner, sign or other material for commercial purposes, or as part of a demonstration.”

A man standing on a raised platform to deliver an unsolicited sermon to a crowd of theme park guests fits squarely within that definition.

How Disney Parks Fans Responded

The video sparked immediate debate in the comments.

“Should be a lifetime ban honestly,” said @sparkle_swamp.

“As a pastor, I would be pissed!” @jamesallen321 replied. “Not the place or time.”

Others pushed back in defense of the guest.

“Why does everyone try to stop people from spreading the gospel?” @ilovecerberus08 asked.

“Every where is the place to talk about JESUS,” @daisythehikingfrenchie agreed.

And some raised a pointed question about consistency.

“Imagine if a Muslim did this,” @meagolasgreentea wrote. “How is this ANY different.”

Walt Disney World Resort has not commented on the incident.

Should this man have been banned from Walt Disney World Resort? Disney Dining would love to hear your opinion in the comments!
