Surprise Price Jump Hits Disney World Just Before the Holiday Rush

Disney fans keeping an eye on dining deals at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have noticed a subtle but noteworthy update this week. One of the park’s most popular add-on experiences—the Fantasmic! Dining Package—just saw a small price shift. While it’s not a sweeping change across every participating restaurant, the adjustment still has guests talking, especially because it affects one of Hollywood Studios’ most uniquely themed dining spots.

The update centers on Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, a fan-favorite location where guests enjoy burgers, shakes, and classic drive-in flair under a starry indoor sky. The adult price for the Fantasmic! Dining Package at this restaurant has increased slightly—from $57 to $59. The jump is small, but anytime Disney adjusts pricing (even by just a couple of dollars), fans immediately begin to recalculate whether the experience is still right for their families.

The good news is that Sci-Fi is the only location to see a price change. Every other restaurant in the Fantasmic! Dining Package lineup—like 50’s Prime Time Café, Hollywood & Vine, and The Hollywood Brown Derby—remains at the same rates guests have been seeing for the 2025 season.

The dining package remains a straightforward, reliable way to lock in reserved seating for Fantasmic!. The bundle includes an entrée and dessert (or buffet where applicable), a beverage, and a seating voucher for the evening’s show. With Fantasmic! continuing to draw major crowds—especially during the holidays and peak travel weeks—the convenience of skipping standby and heading straight to the reserved section is still a big selling point for many guests.

Disney also keeps the process simple: you pick up your Fantasmic! voucher at the restaurant during your meal and later check in on Sunset Boulevard. Even if the performance gets canceled due to weather, the dining portion still takes place, which helps ensure guests don’t feel like they’ve wasted their reservation.

The Fantasmic! Dining Package has long offered a helpful blend of value and convenience, and even with this tiny update at Sci-Fi Dine-In, the overall structure is unchanged. Families planning trips in the coming months will likely continue to see it as a dependable way to enjoy dinner and a nighttime show without the stress of crowded queues or last-minute scrambling. While it’s always worth tracking evolving pricing, this particular adjustment isn’t likely to shift guest demand in any major way.
