What is Going On?
The primary issue, according to guests, is the show’s ongoing lack of pyrotechnics and missing key elements. One visitor on X detailed the problems in no uncertain terms:
“I’m gonna NEEEEEED someone to be honest with me about what’s going on here. Fantasmic with ZERO pyro. Not even a cannon blast for Peter Pan. This happens at least weekly now, and it is totally unacceptable. I love Fantasmic, and my feelings rn? Just end it. Let’s be done. I have complained before, but it’s truer than ever that it’s time to either FULLY restage, relight, restore, and commit to it, or announce that it’s like fireworks shows were it only has pyro on select nights, or just retire it.”
The fan went on to highlight a range of missing components that have contributed to the decline in the show’s quality:
“It’s so gross they sell dining packages for this. No lift for Mickey at the beginning or end. (Been broken for 9+ months)
No lift for Maleficent.
No dragon. (And no apparent plans to ever fix that??)
No Flotsam and Jetsam floats.
No crocodile float.
No fireworks at all like, 5-10% of shows.
