Inside ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’s Biggest Dinosaur Action Sequences

Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) is finally lifting its veil of secrecy as it prepares for a summer release, revealing new details that many might consider spoiler-y.

Directed by Gareth Edwards—whose work includes 2014’s Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story—and written by David Koepp, the screenwriter behind Jurassic Park (1993) and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), the film is billed as the start of a “new Jurassic era.”

The story follows covert operations expert Zora Bennett, played by Scarlett Johansson, who leads a skilled team on a mission to extract dinosaur DNA. Alongside her is paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, played by Jonathan Bailey.

But their assignment takes an unexpected turn when they come across a stranded civilian family on a remote jungle island in South America. Amid the island’s prehistoric inhabitants, the team unearths a long-hidden “sinister, shocking” secret—one that’s been hidden from the world for decades.

Now, adding to the film’s appeal is a promotional partnership with LEGO. This collaboration introduces a series of official playsets inspired by some of the film’s action sequences, which cover a variety of high-stakes scenarios.

Paying homage to the iconic river sequence from the “Jurassic Park” novel, the “T-Rex River Escape” set revives the legendary chase. Here, a relentless T-Rex is in hot pursuit of a raft carrying new characters, evoking memories of the classic Universal Studios attraction.

In the “Mosasaurus Boat Mission” set, a thrilling showdown unfolds as a pack of Spinosaurs teams up with a formidable Mosasaurus to challenge Zora’s boat—a high-octane encounter that promises to leave fans on the edge of their seats.

High above, the “Spinosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus Air Mission” set shifts the battleground to the skies. Here, Zora and her team confront a massive Quetzalcoatlus, which is depicted nesting in an ancient temple—a sequence that’s been heavily teased in the film’s trailer.

Closer to the ground, the “Raptor & Titanosaurus Tracking Mission” set draws inspiration from a long-grass scene, during which Zora Bennett and Dr. Henry Loomis stumble upon two towering Titanosaurs.

Lastly is the “Raptor Off-Road Escape” set. While its on-screen counterpart is absent from the trailer, this set adds an element of mystery by featuring minifigures of stranded father Reuben Delgado and his daughter Isabella Delgado, which suggests that the pair will come frighteningly close to the super-intelligent dinosaurs.

More details about the playsets can be found on the LEGO Shop Jurassic World Rebirth page.
