8 Things No One Tells You About Visiting Epcot in Walt Disney World

2. Get There For Rope Drop

With the format of the FastPass+ selections at Epcot, you are limited to selecting one option from Tier 1 and 2 options from Tier 2. Since both Test Track and Soarin’ are Tier 1 attractions (as well as being some of the most popular rides in all of Walt Disney World), trying to decide which one to use the FastPass for can be a really difficult decision. One of the ways around this is to arrive for Rope Drop, when the park opens, so that you can make sure you ride whichever Tier 1 ride you didn’t select. The beauty of Rope Drop is the fact that the crowds won’t start to fill in until around 45 minutes to an hour after the park opens, so you may in fact have more opportunities to ride your must-do attractions.

About Ryan Miller

Ryan loves all things Disney: from the smallest details to the biggest surprises and all of the magic in between. He loves the fireworks of Wishes, the thrill of Tower of Terror and of course, the dining at Disney Restaurants. As of yet, however, he has been unable to replicate his favourite dishes and snacks at home. In between trips, you can usually find him reading about the history of the parks and attractions when he’s not at work for his local public library in Burlington Ontario. Ryan’s favourite Disney moment was proposing in front of Cinderella’s Castle to his (now) fiancée, Lauren.
