7 Things You Are Going To Love About Art Of Animation At Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World has dozens of resorts on property, and dozens more located within just a few miles of the gates. Choosing which hotel is perfect for your family can be a daunting task. There are just so many choices! To begin narrowing down your options, think about two important factors, budget and amenities. Now, you might be thinking that the two are mutually exclusive, but that is far from true. Art of Animation is a Walt Disney World resort hotel that is chock full of amenities, and won’t break the bank. Here are seven things that are sure to make you smile!

7. Budget Friendly

Disney’s resort hotels fall into three price tiers: Deluxe, Moderate, and Value. Art of Animation is a Value hotel, meaning it consistently has one of the lowest price points of the hotels on property. I won’t list prices for rooms here, since they are subject to change based on season and promotions. If your family is the kind who spends more time in the parks than in the hotel room, then why blow the big bucks on lodging? Art of Animation is an easy choice for families looking to stay on property, and within budget.

6. Suites

Most hotel rooms at Walt Disney World only sleep four people (plus a small baby via a Pack ‘n Play). But families of five or more want to visit too! Art of Animation offers family suites that will sleep up to six people, plus features a kitchenette and two bathrooms. Sometimes I’m tempted to book a suite purely for the extra bathroom!

5. Food Court

Art of Animation has a large counter service restaurant, called Landscape of Flavors. With five separate food stations, everyone in your party will find something tasty. And here’s a bonus: Landscape of Flavors is one of the few counter service restaurants eligible for the Tables in Wonderland discount!

4. Characters

It’s no secret that kids (and kids at heart) love characters. At Art of Animation, you will be surrounded by larger than life characters from The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo. The films inspire four distinct areas of the hotel that really transport guests under the water, down the open road, or out into the savannah. Get immersed in your favorite stories with not just the gigantic character statues, but themed rooms bursting with details. If you want to stay in the “Disney bubble” during your vacation, Art of Animation’s theming will definitely fit the bill!

3. On Property Perks

Don’t ever think that just because you’re staying at a Value hotel, that you won’t receive the same outstanding perks the other on-property hotels boast. Guests at Art of Animation are eligible for for Extra Magic Hours, and have the option to add the Disney Dining Plan and Disney’s Magical Express when booking their vacation. Additionally, guests can take advantage of complimentary MagicBands, advanced dining reservation window, earlier FastPass selections, and sending in-park packages to their hotel’s gift shop. All of these amenities are available at Disney resort hotels across the board.

2. Skyliner and Bus Transportation

Art of Animation has the Disney Skyliner that will take guests to and from EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and other Skyliner Resorts. For bus transportation, unlike many other hotels (even the Deluxe hotels, gasp!), Art of Animation does not share a bus system with any other hotels. That means, you won’t have to wait to play while the bus picks up folks at another hotel, so you can get to the parks quicker. Not to mention, that also means you can get back to the hotel faster at the end of the day! Having the Skyliner and a dedicated bus system are my absolute favorite aspects of of Art of Animation!

1. Recreation

Art of Animation is home to the largest pool at any of Walt Disney World’s hotels. Themed after Finding Nemo and called Big Blue Pool, the pool features under water speakers. You can’t find that anywhere else on property! Two more pools are themed after Cars (Cozy Cone Pool), and The Little Mermaid (Flippin Fins Pool). Enjoy pool-side movies under the stars, or let the kids have fun at the Righteous Reef Playground or the Pixel Play Arcade. With so many ways to spend the day, Art of Animation will make you want to take a break from the parks and enjoy the resort!

I hope you consider choosing Art of Animation for your next vacation. Do you love something about Art of Animation that I didn’t list here? Let us know!

About Robin Swanson

Robin’s Disney journey began with Beauty and the Beast bedsheets, a Jasmine dress up set, and a purring Nala plush. As a child in the 1990s, the renaissance and classic animations alike captivated her imagination. In 2008, Robin visited Walt Disney World for the first time, and the obsession really took hold. Since then, Robin has enjoyed visiting the Happiest Place on Earth many more times. She lives in the Chicago suburbs where she is wrapping up a Masters in writing. When not at Disney World, Robin enjoys researching fairytales, eating ice cream, Netflix binging, reading and, of course, planning the next Walt Disney World vacation!
