15 Must-Do’s at Walt Disney World
A trip to Walt Disney World can be incredibly overwhelming. There’s so much to see and do, and squeezing it all into one trip is absolutely impossible. This means you’ll have to pick and choose which things you get to experience. Considering how magical every single attraction in each of the four parks is, narrowing down your choices can be very difficult. Lucky for you, we’ve done the legwork for you. Below are the top 15 experiences Walt Disney World has to offer. As long as you make time for these 15 things, you can rest easy knowing you’ve seen the best of the best.
In Magic Kingdom:
1. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
As the only ride that fuses elements of a dark ride with a family-friendly coaster, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a truly unique attraction that everyone should experience. We also love the interactive bits of the queue, so be sure you watch out for those!
2. The Mountains
Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are all classics that simply cannot be missed. Sure, we might be cheating by lumping all of these into one, but we think they are all equally important.
3. Peter Pan’s Flight
Another classic and the perfect example of a classic Disney dark ride, Peter Pan’s Flight is one of those simple yet magical attractions that just never gets old. We ride this one again and again, and somehow the magic of flying over London and through Neverland never fades.

In Epcot:
5. Spaceship Earth
Located in that giant silver golf ball at the front of Epcot, Spaceship Earth is a wonderful ride that really encompasses everything Epcot is about. This ride educates whilst entertaining and saluting progress. Better ride it soon though, as it’s slated to close for a remodel in the near future.
6. Soarin’ Around the World
Have you ever wanted to go hang gliding? Does flying over amazing scenery in a number of countries appeal to you? If so, you’ll love Soarin’ Around the World, which uses a number of effects to take you on a flight around the globe.
7. Test Track
Design your own car and then hop inside to test it out on Test Track. This exciting ride lets you experience the kinds of tests a new car design might go through, including a super thrilling speed test. Be sure to watch for the results at the end of each test to see how your design held up.
8. World Showcase
No visit to Epcot is complete without a walk around the World Showcase. You will want to give yourself plenty of time for this, as checking out each and every one of the pavilions is time consuming. Make sure to try some new foods, do a bit of shopping, and stop to enjoy the performers.
In Hollywood Studios
9. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run
The newest attraction on Disney property, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run puts you in charge of a mission in the Millennium Falcon. This interactive flight simulator ride requires you to do one of three jobs in order to complete your mission. Pay attention and do your job well, and you will succeed.
10. Toy Story Mania
Toy Story Mania is another interactive ride. This one allows riders to use a gun to play various midway games which are displayed onto screens in 3D. Guests are swung and spun between the screens and encouraged by their favorite characters from the Toy Story series of movies.
11. Slinky Dog Dash
Another great Toy Story-themed ride, Slinky Dog Dash is a favorite coaster of many. The ride is just thrilling enough to be exciting for adults, while still remaining relatively kid-friendly. We absolutely love the queue for this ride, and find that the attention to detail in both the queue and the ride itself is phenomenal.
12. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Have you ever entered the Twilight Zone? If not, this is your chance. Step into a haunted elevator for a stomach-dropping ride you won’t soon forget. Will you make it out of this tower of terror?
In Animal Kingdom
13. Flight of Passage
Avatar Flight of Passage is one of the attractions located in the relatively new Pandora section of the park. It is definitely the most impressive ride on Disney property at the moment, and one you won’t want to miss. This amazing flight simulator attraction uses a variety of effects to send you on a breathtaking flight on the back of a Banshee creature. It is gorgeous, awe-inspiring, and 100% magical.
14. Kilimanjaro Safaris
One of the cool things about Animal Kingdom is the fact that it is actually home to a number of animals. In our opinion, the best way to see these animals is by riding Kilimanjaro Safaris. This unique ride takes you out in a Jeep to get a close-up view of many of the park’s amazing animal residents.
15. Expedition Everest
Thrill seekers visiting Animal Kingdom should make time for Expedition Everest. This high-speed coaster definitely gets your adrenaline pumping. Of course, the surprise twist that the ride offers only adds to the thrill of it all.
