Home Improvement Star Arrested For SECOND DUI This Year

Zachary Ty Bryan, known for his role as Brad Taylor on the hit television series Home Improvement, has seen a notable decline in his public image since the show’s conclusion in 1999. Initially, Home Improvement solidified him as a child star, contributing significantly to his early fame alongside Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson.

The series focused on the life of Tim Taylor, a bumbling dad who ran a home improvement show, with Bryan’s character representing the typical teenage struggles. Despite his early success, Bryan’s career has been marred by legal troubles in recent years, overshadowing his initial achievements in Hollywood.

On October 25, 2024, Zachary Ty Bryan was arrested again for driving under the influence (DUI). The Custer County Sheriff’s Office reported that officers took him into custody shortly after 8:30 a.m. He faced charges for driving under the influence and for driving without a valid license, with this incident classified as a “second felony offense.”

This arrest marks his second DUI arrest this year, with a previous arrest occurring on February 17 in La Quinta, California. In that case, Bryan faced additional charges of contempt of court and had a bail set at $65,000, which he paid and was released the same day. Just one month later, his DUI charges were escalated to a felony due to having three or more prior convictions within the last decade.

Zachary Ty Bryan’s legal issues extend beyond DUIs, with a history of domestic violence charges as well. In July 2023, he was arrested in Oregon for fourth-degree felony assault, third-degree robbery, and harassment. He subsequently pleaded guilty and received a sentence of seven days in jail. During this incident, Bryan admitted to “recklessly” causing injury to his domestic partner, with whom he shares three children.

In 2020, Bryan faced similar legal consequences related to a domestic violence dispute, involving charges of fourth-degree assault and strangulation. He ultimately pleaded guilty to misdemeanor menacing and misdemeanor assault, receiving a sentence of 36 months of “bench probation,” which required adherence to specific conditions and reporting to a judge.

Family members have expressed their support for Bryan amid these challenges, particularly his fiancée. She has publicly stated her intentions to remain supportive of her partner despite their tumultuous circumstances. However, there are growing concerns regarding the impact of these legal issues on their children.

It has not been revealed why Bryan’s bench probation has not been revoked despite his multiple arrests.
