Winnie the Pooh and friends will have a new meet-and-greet location during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom.
Instead of their usual spot at The Thotful Spot, they’ll greet party guests at Storybook Circus.
Quick Facts
- Who: Winnie the Pooh and friends
- Where: Storybook Circus in Fantasyland
- When: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights, November 8 through December 22, 2026
- Daytime: Still at The Thotful Spot
Day vs. Party Night
| Time | Meet-and-Greet Location |
|---|---|
| Regular park hours | The Thotful Spot |
| Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party | Storybook Circus |
Repeat guests should take note. Heading to The Thotful Spot out of habit on a party night means you won’t find Pooh there.
What’s Still Unknown
Disney hasn’t shared:
- The exact spot in Storybook Circus
- Which of Pooh’s friends will join him
Some fans think Pooh could take over a space inside Pete’s Silly Sideshow, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
Storybook Circus During the Party
During the party, Storybook Circus becomes Santa’s Christmas Carnival.
Already in the area:
- Santa meet-and-greet near Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Barnstormer
With the move:
- Two of the party’s most popular character meets will be in the same part of Fantasyland
About The Thotful Spot and Winnie the Pooh
- Located next to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Pooh and Tigger usually greet guests there
- Returned to Magic Kingdom in 2022 after more than two years away
- Lines have stayed long, especially during events
Why the Change Makes Sense
The Thotful Spot challenges:
- Sits on a busy Fantasyland walkway
- Located across from Mad Tea Party
- Limited room for long lines
- Lines can crowd the walkway
Party night challenges:
- Mad Tea Party gets a holiday overlay and draws more crowds
Storybook Circus advantages:
- More open space
- Off the main walkway
- Room for longer queues
Busy Party Season
As of late October, Disney says:
- 13 of 25 party nights were sold out
- Opening night was sold out
- All Thanksgiving week party nights were sold out
More crowds mean more need for space, which makes this move a smart one.
