Magic Kingdom Park Becomes Increasingly Hard To Access This Christmas Season

Planning to spend an evening at Magic Kingdom’s holiday party this year? The clock is ticking. Walt Disney World has sold out another night of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and only a handful of chances remain to experience it in 2026.

A Quick Refresher on the Party

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is Magic Kingdom’s after-hours holiday celebration, held on select nights from November 8 through December 22, 2026. Tickets are sold separately from regular park admission. The festivities run from 7 p.m. until midnight, but party guests may enter the park from 4 p.m., leaving plenty of time to ride a few attractions before the holiday programming begins.

Once the party starts, the park transforms. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Santa Claus join other familiar Disney characters in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, while Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show wraps up the night overhead. Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration is back as well, serving as the party’s stage show.

There are smaller perks, too. Free cookies and hot cocoa are available at designated spots, holiday character greetings pop up around the park, and select attractions stay open. It all adds up to a night that feels quite different from a standard Magic Kingdom visit.

The Latest Sellout

Sunday, December 6, is the newest addition to the sold-out list. That leaves seven dates on sale at the time of writing: November 29, and December 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, and 17.

Disney notes that each night has limited availability, and with dates disappearing at a steady clip, families still on the fence may want to decide soon.

What You’ll Pay

Across the 2026 season, prices have ranged from $189 to $229, plus tax. The remaining dates sit near the top. Guests aged 10 and over will pay between $214 and $229, plus tax, and children aged 3 to 9 get $10 off. It is worth confirming availability and pricing on the official Walt Disney World event page before checking out.

A Note for Passholders and DVC Members

November 29 is the one to watch for eligible Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members. As the last November party still available, it is also the final date offering the $10 member discount. The December nights do not include it.

Plan Before You Book

The advice here is simple: confirm your party date before booking flights or hotels. Disney has cautioned that tickets may sell out before the event, and given how quickly recent nights have gone, the remaining seven may not last long.

Thomas Hitchen

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his… More »
