Disney World Guests Running Out of Cheap Nights as Fifth Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Sells Out
November 17 has sold out for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. That makes five of 25 nights gone.
Twenty remain at Magic Kingdom.
The Five Sold-Out Nights
- November 12: $189, season’s lowest price
- November 17: $189, season’s lowest price
- November 24: $204, Thanksgiving week
- December 20: $229, season’s highest price
- December 22: $229, season’s highest price
The Pattern Is a Barbell
Two cheapest nights, gone. The two most expensive nights are gone. Thanksgiving week, gone.
Everything in the middle is still available.
Why:
- At the bottom, price shoppers took the $189 dates. Cost is the deciding factor, and the floor went first.
- At the top, Christmas week buyers took the $229 dates. They are already at Walt Disney World, December 20 through 22, and pay whatever the party costs.
- In the middle, the $194 to $219 nights are neither cheap nor prime. No specific reason to choose them, so nobody has.
Two different motivations are driving demand. The dates that satisfy neither are what is left.
One $189 Night Remains
Three dates carried the season’s $189 floor:
- November 9
- November 12 (sold out)
- November 17 (sold out)
November 9 is the last one.
Monday in early November. $179 for Annual Passholders. Cheapest entry to this party all season, and there is one of it.
Opening Night Is Somehow Still Open
November 8 is available at $199, or $189 for passholders.
That stays the most interesting number of the season. Opening night was the first date to sell out in both 2024 and 2025. This year, five other nights went first, and it is still on sale.
Opening night is the enthusiast buy, purchased months out by people who want to be at the first one. That group has not shown up. Price shoppers and Christmas week guests clearly have.
Passholder Discounts End December 3
Clean cut-off worth knowing:
- Discount dates run from November 8 through December 3, 11 total
- Nine of those 11 are still available
- No date after December 3 offers a discount, including every $229 night
The spread that creates:
- November 9 at $179 for passholders
- December 20 at $229, no discount
Fifty dollars, about 22 percent, for the same party.
Still Available, Cheapest First
- November 9: $189 / $179 passholder
- November 13, 15, 19: $194 / $184
- November 8, 20: $199 / $189
- December 1: $209 / $199
- November 29, December 3: $214 / $204
- November 25: $209, no discount
- December 6: $214, no discount
- November 27, December 4, 8, 10: $219, no discount
- December 11, 13, 15: $224, no discount
- December 17, 18: $229, no discount
Children ages 3 to 9 save $10 on every date, which helps proportionally more on the cheap nights.
Why 20 Nights Is Not as Many as It Sounds
Last year, all 25 dates sold out by November 19.
Today is October 9. Last season, the full calendar closed within about six weeks of this point, at the same $229 top price.
Five of 25 is behind that pace. But the back half of selling season moves fast, and once a few more November dates go, the rest tend to follow.
The Detail That Changes the Value
- Party starts at 7:00 p.m.
- Party ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom at 4:00 p.m.
Three extra hours of park time included.
On a $189 night, that is roughly eight hours in Magic Kingdom, three during regular operation and five at lower ticketed-event capacity. The cheap dates look better than their price tag.
Same Show Every Night
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
- Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks
- Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
- Seasonal entertainment, characters, and complimentary treats
The entertainment does not scale with what you paid.
Booking
Online or by phone through Disney. Disney notes availability is limited, and tickets may not be sold on the day of the event or earlier.
Given five dates are already closed, take that literally.
