What to Carry in Your Walt Disney World Park Bag in a Post Quarantine World

We’ve all been in quarantine for months and been thinking about what life will look like when things start to open after COVID-19. One of those things that you may be dreaming about is your next Walt Disney World vacation. Once you are able to return things will look quite a bit different, so you will want to pack accordingly. Here are some things you will want to have with you on your next Walt Disney World day.

1. Hand Sanitizer

Although there will be hand sanitizing stations all around Walt Disney World property it’s still not a bad idea to have your own in your bag. Hand sanitizer is a great way to keep germs away so you will want to be sanitizing constantly. You’ll want to pull it out if you touch a railing without thinking about it, right before you eat, and plenty of other times. There will also be handwashing stations available for your convenience and the safety of everyone. All of that hand sanitizer can dry out your skin, so you might want to pack hand lotion as well.

2. Extra Masks

We’ve hit the hot summer months in Central Florida, so it is a very good idea to bring some extra masks with you. That way when you’ve been wearing one for a few hours and you’re all sweaty you can put on a fresh, clean one. Plus you can have different designs and change out your look throughout the day. One tip for wearing a mask, throw some mints in your bag as well. You’ll be glad that you have them, especially after you eat.

3. Cooling Towels

Everyone will be trying to stay cool anyway, so cooling towels may be a good option for you. Just throw a couple in your bag, and then run into the restroom put some water on them. ring them out, and you’ll have instant cooling. These can really help you to feel cooler in the parks.

4. Water Bottle

Although there are water fountains all over the property using one may not be the most sanitary thing right now. Pack a water bottle and then ask for free water cups. That way, you can refill it throughout the day. It is very important to stay hydrated. Disney will be cleaning the water fountains regularly but it still may be a good idea just to have your own water bottle with you. Why take a chance?

5. Sunscreen

It is always important to wear sunscreen when you’re out in the sun, but since you are required to wear masks while on Disney property think about the weird tan lines you might now get with a mask. Since you will be in the sun a lot, protecting yourself from UV rays is always important. You don’t want to be that person that gets completely burned and is in pain for the rest of your vacation.

6. Sunglasses

You needed these before COVID-19, but they’re definitely something you don’t want to forget. Sunglasses will protect your eyes from the sun, plus wearing them is also a good way to keep you from accidentally touching your eyes throughout the day. If your sunglasses get fogged up because of your mask, make sure that it is as tight as possible at the top on your nose.

7. Gloves

This is totally optional but some people do prefer to have gloves while at the parks. Make sure if you do bring gloves that you don’t touch your face or your belongings while wearing them. Germs can still be spread through that. If it makes you feel a little more secure, though, gloves could be a good option for you and your family. If you wear disposable gloves, please throw them out properly. Don’t just drop them on the ground.

8. Disinfectant Wipes

These are also optional but if you bring a pack of disinfectant wipes you can clean off surfaces before you touch them. Walt Disney World is going to be doing everything they can to already keep all surfaces clean, but if you want that extra piece of mind then you might want to have some wipes in your bag.

9. Patience

Now this one is not optional. Pack your patience. We know that tempers could be high and that stress levels are through the roof during these unprecedented times. Know that all the cast members are doing everything that they can to keep you safe. Everything will look different for the foreseeable future, but they’re doing what they have to do to get the parks up and running again. Lines will look different and there are many new rules that need to be followed, but these are truly for everyone’s safety. Be kind to everyone around you, and enjoy being back at the most magical place on earth.
