What I Would Do Locked in Hollywood Studios Overnight

It turns out when I let my imagination run wild, it can really go.

I had way too much fun writing What I Would Do Locked in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Overnight, so I just had to keep going. I’m afraid to admit this, but I have not experienced many of the new thrills and attractions at Hollywood Studios yet. I haven’t even been to Galaxy’s Edge! So if given the opportunity to go crazy in this incredible park, I would be all over it. Let’s see what we can come up with, shall we?

Pictures, Pictures, and More Pictures

Whether you’re sporting a high-end Canon or simply using the latest iPhone, everyone needs to get the best shot they can when at Disney. Clearly I’d have to get that empty shot of Hollywood Boulevard leading up the Chinese Theatre. But I’d obviously need to run around absolutely all over the Park and take pictures of the Tower of Terror, Galaxy’s Edge, all of Toy Story Land, and any pretty random nook and cranny I found.

Ride Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad A Bunch

I have never been on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad. I know, I know, this is blasphemous.  But I have yet to go on this amazing ride. I do miss The Great Movie Ride, so I’m a little reluctant on principle. So given the chance to explore and dissect it on my own, I absolutely would jump at the opportunity.

Eat Everything On the Brown Derby Menu

The Brown Derby feels so elegant and posh. I’ve only been once in my life. If given the opportunity to enjoy a lavish, all-inclusive meal at the famous restaurant, I would order lobster bisque and martinis and anything else fancy I could think of.

Ride Every Toy Story Land Ride With No Wait

I love the look and feel of Toy Story Land, but on a normal park day, I find myself skipping the rides because I don’t want to waste time waiting in those massive lines. Even rides like Toy Story Mania that have been there for years now have ridiculously long queues. So alone in the park I’d get to experience all of the amazing rides as they should be!

Walk Around the Inside of Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

So I’m a total baby. I hate roller coasters. So I would not be riding Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller coaster a million times. However, I would love to still experience them. If it were just me I could walk around the attractions and check out all of the details that I’d missed over the years. Do you think it’s an option to go all the way up on Tower of Terror and just gently come back down? I’d do that.

Finally Explore Galaxy’s Edge

It. Is. Time. An empty Galaxy’s Edge sounds truly magical. Much like how I’d treat the roller coasters, if I had complete free rein over Hollywood Studios, I would take my sweet time in this new part of the park. I would examine every single inch of those replicated sets. And I would LOVE it. Plus, I’d get to try all the yummy new foods I keep hearing about and even the blue milk!

Take a Breather with the Muppets

MuppetVision 3D has always been one of my all-time favorite attractions. Because of the nature of the movie aspect, it would be a great time to just relax and take a moment away from the night, maybe even take a little nap in there. I might even sit in different spots around the theater just for the heck of it.

Hang Out With All of the Pixar Guys

I absolutely love all of the Pixar representation in Hollywood Studios. The Incredibles is my favorite Pixar movie, so I was stoked when Disney brought those characters back to the parks. I would love to just hang around with Edna, Frozone, Bob and Helen! Not to mention all of the other Pixar guys that come out every now and then.

Enjoy a Front Row Seat at Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic!

I am in love with the Beauty and the Beast show in Hollywood Studios. It has always been one of my favorite things to do. And I’m always sad when the show is over, so this way I could just watch it over and over again. Maybe the Cast Members would even let me understudy for Belle!

The same would be true for Fantasmic! Not only would I get a good seat for the first time ever, but I might even get to explore the set! It’s always been so fascinating to me. I would love to be on one of the boats that sails by the crowd, or swing like John Smith in the Pocahontas segment. Maybe Mickey would even let me help him defeat Maleficent!

Sit and Enjoy a Snack on Sunset Boulevard

To end my epic night in Hollywood Studios, I would have to just sit down on a bench on Sunset Boulevard and take it all in. I’d probably grab a Mickey Rice Krispie treat from the candy store and enjoy it while looking over the beautiful street. I love how everything sparkles and glitters at night in Hollywood Studios. The magic of the era comes back alive for me. Not a bad way to end the night, if you ask me.
