Universal Slashes Prices by 70% in Surprise Passholder Move, Effective Now

Eligible Universal visitors can now save big with a massive 70% discount at one location within its theme parks.

For families planning a Universal vacation, every dollar matters. Between admission tickets, meals, hotel accommodations, and other expenses, even a short visit can become surprisingly expensive.

That’s why an offer this substantial is worth paying attention to.

However, there’s a catch. Universal isn’t extending these savings to everyone who walks through the gates.

Instead, the resort is offering the deal to a select group of visitors at a location that recently received a major makeover.

Universal Orlando Offers Special Savings to Certain Guests

Universal Orlando Annual Passholders already have access to benefits that regular ticket holders don’t receive.

Depending on which pass they purchase, members can enjoy discounts on dining, merchandise, hotel accommodations, and tickets to select special events.

These benefits can make frequent trips more affordable, particularly for visitors who spend considerable time inside Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

Premier Passholders receive another popular perk: Universal Express access after 4 p.m. at participating attractions in both parks, subject to restrictions.

Rather than purchasing Express separately, eligible members can use shorter queues at participating rides.

But Universal doesn’t limit its Passholder benefits to those everyday offerings.

The resort also offers occasional exclusive opportunities, such as special shopping promotions unavailable to regular visitors.

One of those offers has attracted attention because of its unusually steep discount.

And there’s an interesting story behind where guests can find it.

Universal Orlando Transforms Part of a Permanently Closed Attraction

Fast & Furious: Supercharged officially closed at Universal Studios Florida in August 2026, ending the attraction’s operation.

While Universal considers the area’s future, the former attraction’s exit gift shop has already been repurposed.

The resort relocated its Annual Passholder discount store to Custom Gear, the former Fast & Furious retail location.

Previously, passholders visited another location to browse discounted merchandise. Now, they can shop inside the former attraction area.

The store also welcomes Universal Team Members, although regular ticket holders cannot access the exclusive shopping opportunity.

What makes the location particularly appealing is the enormous discount.

Merchandise throughout the store has been offered at 70% off its original retail price.

Consider a shirt or collectible originally selling for $50. With that markdown, the price falls to just $15 before taxes.

A $100 purchase would cost only $30.

For visitors accustomed to paying regular theme park prices, those reductions can make a considerable difference.

And the selection makes the opportunity even more appealing.

A $40 Universal Orlando Resort Souvenir Costs Just $12

The discount store features numerous products that Universal fans might normally purchase at other retail locations throughout the resort.

Shirts, cups, tumblers, magnets, collectible pins, lanyards, plush toys, figurines, and other souvenirs are among the available merchandise.

That variety gives shoppers opportunities to purchase gifts, collectibles, or everyday items at significantly reduced prices.

The savings become particularly noticeable when comparing identical products.

During our visit, we purchased a Grinch tumbler for approximately $12.

However, we also found that same tumbler selling for around $40 at Cats, Hats, & Things inside Islands of Adventure.

That’s a difference of approximately $28 for one item.

Imagine purchasing several products with similar discounts.

A shopping trip that would normally total $150 could cost just $45 before taxes under the 70% promotion.

For families purchasing multiple souvenirs, that difference could leave considerably more money available for other vacation expenses.

The timing also works well for passholders hoping to purchase gifts ahead of the holiday season.

However, shoppers shouldn’t expect every product to remain available indefinitely. Inventory can change as discounted items sell out.

How Long Will Universal Orlando Resort’s Discount Last?

Universal Orlando hasn’t provided a confirmed expiration date in the information available for the promotion.

That leaves passholders with an important consideration: the offer could change, and the same merchandise might not be available on future visits.

Anyone interested in browsing the discounted selection should check the former Fast & Furious: Supercharged gift shop inside Universal Studios Florida.

The location offers another potential benefit of holding an Annual Pass, especially for guests who regularly purchase souvenirs.

And when an item selling for approximately $40 elsewhere can be purchased for around $12, it’s easy to understand why this shopping opportunity has attracted attention.

For eligible visitors, checking the store before making purchases elsewhere could yield impressive savings.
