Universal Orlando Sets Date for Massive Theme Park Transformation

Universal Orlando Resort is getting ready to trade monsters, haunted houses, and Halloween decorations for Christmas trees, festive lights, and some of its biggest seasonal entertainment of the year.

The transformation officially begins November 14, 2026, when Universal Orlando Holidays returns.

That date is now quickly approaching. As of September 20, guests are just 55 days away from the start of the celebration, which will stretch across Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Epic Universe, CityWalk, and Universal’s 11 hotels.

This year’s transformation will also bring something new to Universal’s newest theme park.

Epic Universe Will Look Different This Christmas

Epic Universe opened in May 2025, but Universal continues expanding how the park participates in resort-wide seasonal events.

For the first time, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk will receive holiday decorations.

Celestial Park will also become a cosmic winter wonderland, with seasonal displays appearing around the Cosmos Fountain.

That gives returning Epic Universe guests another reason to see the park during the holidays. Universal hasn’t revealed every decoration coming to the lands, leaving some details to be discovered once the transformation begins.

Christmas Takes Over Universal Orlando

The changes won’t stop at Epic Universe.

Christmas will return to all three Wizarding World of Harry Potter locations, including Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and the Ministry of Magic.

Over at Islands of Adventure, Seuss Landing will once again host Grinchmas. Guests can see the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, meet The Grinch, and visit the Who-Ville Tree Lot.

Universal Studios Florida will bring back Universal’s Holiday Parade Featuring Macy’s. The nightly parade features large balloons, floats, familiar characters, and a finale with Santa Claus and a Christmas tree lighting.

CityWalk and Universal’s hotels are joining the transformation as well. The Red Coconut Club will become the Green and Red Coconut Club, while all 11 hotels will receive decorations and seasonal offerings.

Universal Orlando Holidays runs from November 14, 2026, through January 3, 2027.

With only 55 days remaining, Universal’s next massive seasonal transformation is getting close.
