Universal Orlando Resort is home to two stunning theme parks, an exciting water park, and a handful of Resort hotels.
Universal Studios Orlando and Universal’s Islands of Adventure are two of the most frequently visited theme parks in Central Florida, giving Walt Disney World a run for their money.
While Walt Disney World is still running the show in Orlando, Universal Orlando Resort is slowly but surely catching up, especially as progress is made on its third theme park, Epic Universe.
At this point in time, we don’t know a ton of information about Epic Universe. We know that it’s scheduled to open in 2025, and we know that the theme park will include SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, another Wizarding World of Harry Potter area, and an area dedicated to DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon franchise.
While we don’t know a whole lot about Epic Universe, Twitter user @Bioreconstruct certainly does, as he’s been detailing the construction updates for the entire theme park area.

In this photo, we can see that an upcoming Donkey Kong-themed roller coaster attraction is currently being tested for something known as ride vehicle and rider clearance.
In a nutshell, this means that this roller coaster is being tested to ensure the ride vehicle doesn’t hit anything as it goes around the track. At the same time, it’s also being tested to ensure that Guests will not hit anything while riding, even if their hands are in the air.
While Epic Universe is still a ways away from opening, it’s exciting to know that one of its roller coaster attractions is currently in the very beginning stages of testing.
