Bad Guest behavior is happening at many more places than just Walt Disney World Resort, including Disney’s biggest competition Universal Orlando Resort.
During the last couple of years, there have been many instances of Disney World Guests who have gone “off the rails” with bad behavior. From trespassing in restricted areas, to cutting lines, to having verbal altercations with Disney Cast Members, to brawling inside the theme parks, and everything in between, there have been some “less-than-magical” Guests visiting “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”
But, things are not squeaky clean at other theme parks, either.
Universal Orlando Resort– home to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Park, and Universal CityWalk– has served as the biggest competition to Disney in the world. Over the last few years, Universal Studios Orlando has made major strides, including the construction of an all-new theme park, titled Epic Universe, which is set to open in 2025.
With so much happening at Universal Orlando, it should come as no surprise that millions of Guests have made their way to the theme park there, as well. As a matter of fact, many industry insiders have begun to peg Universal Destinations & Experiences as the new leader in theme parks, especially when you add in the work and expansion being done at Universal Studios Hollywood and the new theme parks heading to Frisco, Texas and Las Vegas.
All that said, Universal recently had an incident at a certain After-Hours event that caused things to end early.
Ethan Hershaft shared videos on Twitter of a DJ at Universal’s Islands of Adventure who was forced to close down his set early due to Guests not listening during Grad Bash.
They had a DJ in superhero island and then the DJ ended it early because kids would not listen and kept standing on benches when told not to

Grad Bash is part of the Universal Orlando Resort Youth Program. The event took place on March 31, April 21, April 22, and will hold its final event on April 28. Grad Bash is tabbed as “a once-in-a-lifetime rite-of-passage celebration for high school seniors.” Seniors who attend the event will enjoy an exciting night with their friends in Florida’s only grad celebration with exclusive, private access to both Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. Plus, they’ll enjoy thrilling rides and attractions, street entertainment, and more.
No matter if you’re visiting for an After-Hours event, or if you’re just heading to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, or Universal’s Volcano Bay during regular hours, you must listen to Team Members and their directions. Universal Team Members are there to assist you and keep you safe. Please follow their instructions and be courteous to not only them, but to everyone around you.
