Drunk Underage Guest Flees From Disney Security; Lifetime Ban Reportedly Issued

Whether sipping on a refreshing cocktail at one of the lively lounges or indulging in a specialty drink at a themed restaurant, there are plenty of options to enhance your visit. From classic spots like the Blue Bayou in Disneyland Park to the vibrant Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure, each venue offers a unique ambiance to unwind and socialize.

The availability of alcohol at locations such as Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge and the Hearthstone Lounge at the Grand Californian Hotel adds a grown-up touch to the magical world of Disney. However, at a family-friendly place like Disneyland Resort, drunken and disorderly conduct is not appreciated or tolerated.

A dramatic scene unfolded at Disneyland Resort’s California Adventure Park (DCA) recently when a guest was reportedly banned for life following an incident involving underage drinking. The situation has highlighted the park’s strict policies on excessive alcohol consumption and guest behavior.

Guest Reports Shocking Underage Drinking Situation

Witnesses reported that the incident began when two young males were seen exhibiting suspicious and intoxicated behavior near the park’s Radiator Springs entrance. According to a detailed account from a bystander,

“I witnessed someone overly intoxicated get kicked out of the park and I think banned for life because they were under age. It was two young males. One of them I believe was age purchasing the drinks and the other one was under age, and I believe probably the first time drinking based off the behavior.”

The observer described the scene unfolding at the Karl Strauss beer cart, a popular spot for park guests. The intoxicated individual was reportedly noticed acting erratically and appeared panicked after being approached by security. The situation escalated when the intoxicated guest attempted to flee, leading to a dramatic chase.

“When they were getting questioned, the one who was more drunk made a run for it, got chased down, and I think, as he was trying to dodge security, he tripped and busted his head open.”

Guest Reports Shocking Underage Drinking Situation

As security and medical personnel attended to the injured guest, the other individual attempted to justify their actions, seeking leniency from the authorities. However, Disneyland Resort’s zero-tolerance policy on underage drinking remained firmly enforced. The witness noted,

“The other friend was trying to make excuses on why he was drinking so much and wanted security to be more sympathetic, but there should be no sympathy for underage drinking.”

Following the incident, both individuals were reportedly escorted out of the park. Security reportedly informed them that they would be permanently banned from Disneyland Resort. “They were both escorted out of the park and I overheard security saying that they would not be welcome back to Disneyland,” the witness recounted.

  1. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I really don’t care for alcohol being largely available at Disney parks. If they would limit its availability to table-service restaurants only, with a two drink limit, these incidents might decrease.

These are supposed to be family theme parks, not the Renaissance Festival (which I also like). Disney needs to hire more CMs in general, and certainly more security CMs. And they need to beef up their security checks to counteract the trend of people coming up with “clever” ways to sneak alcohol into the park. Watch social media posts, guys, especially TikTok. You’ll find them all. Start with inspecting “blue ice” containers.

  2. Everywhere you go there is someplace to get some kind of adult beverage. There are people walking around the parks always smelling of the stuff. There have been people tripping over their own feet, their children, pulling the children along rather harshly, tripping over their strollers and over me with my scooter Ads go up for this drink and that one. When did it become a party for the drunks. Stop catering to someone who can not live with out a drink. One or two at dinner or at your hotel should be enough. Stop the madness.
