When you’re at Disney World, taking photos is a must. Whether you’re posing with a favorite character, taking selfies on a favorite ride, or simply snapping shots of the awesome scenery, pictures of your trip will be treasured for years to come. Besides, everyone wants to post their amazing trip to social media, right? Of course, if you’re going to be taking photos, you want to make sure to get the very best ones you can. Obviously, how good your pictures are will depend on a variety of factors, and we recommend trying new things in order to get interesting shots. That said, there are a few key photos spots that are trending right now that you will definitely want to get a few photos of.

1. The Castle

The first and most obvious spot is Cinderella Castle. Absolutely no Disney World trip is complete without the classic photo in front of this iconic castle. Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to snap this photo, as there are tons of PhotoPass photographers lining the walkway to the castle. These photographers are happy to snap a photo of you with both their camera and yours, and you don’t have to have a PhotoPass package to take advantage of this. Additionally, if you want to get some more unique photos of the castle, you can try shooting from a different angle, getting low to the ground, or shooting at night.

2. Spaceship Earth

Another iconic photo that everyone must have is a picture of their group in front of Spaceship Earth. What is Spaceship Earth? It’s that big silver ball at the front of Epcot, and it makes an excellent souvenir photo background. Snap a picture from far away, as well as one up close. Capture one with your party and one without. This is also a good photo to try at different angles, as it can really make the picture interesting when you shoot from the ground up.

3. Tree of Life

The third and final iconic photo that everyone must take while in Disney is a shot in front of the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom. This tree is an incredible work of art and the main focal point of the park, making it 100% photo-worthy. Take one or two of your family in front of the tree, but then also get up close and personal and admire some of the animals carved into the tree. Find a few favorites and snap some photos. These will make excellent souvenirs that cost nothing and take up no space in your suitcase.

4. Purple Wall

Anyone who uses Instagram has probably noticed an enormous number of people posting photos of themselves in front of a purple wall in Disney World. This wall can be found in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom, and it makes the perfect background for nearly any picture. For this reason, we recommend heading to this wall to take your “Disney outfit of the day” photo.

5. Bubble Gum Wall

Another amazing wall backdrop is the “bubble gum” wall. This one is part of Spaceship Earth in Epcot and features a fun combination of pinks and purples that reminds us of…well, bubblegum. Snap some selfies in front of this wall to add a pop of color to your photo (and as a bonus, prevent weird things from making it into the background of your pictures).

6. Rapunzel’s Lanterns

You’ll have to wait until dark to do these photos, but it’s well worth the wait. Simply head to the Rapunzel bathroom—located in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland—sometime after the sun goes down, and find the Cast Member taking pictures there. He or she will pose you with one of the lanterns and snap photos from an absolutely magical angle.

7. Main Street Balloons

It seems Magic Kingdom is full of fun photo ops. Another one that we love is a photo with the Mickey balloons on Main Street. To get this picture, ask a Cast Member holding balloons if you can pose with their product. Chances are, they’ll be happy to oblige, and you can get a fun photo holding those colorful balloons in the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.

8. Floating Mountains

Finally, we mustn’t forget the incredible floating mountains in Animal Kingdom’s Pandora – The World of Avatar. These things are photo-worthy if anything ever was. Get some people in the picture oro simply snap a shot of the mountains on their own. Either way, you’ll end up with a pretty incredible picture.

These are some of the current favorite photo spots in Disney World resort that we know of. Did we miss one? We’d love to hear about it in the comments!
