At around 9:30 p.m. late last night, August 10, a tragic accident rocked the Walt Disney World community. This Disney Resort is a place where families come to enjoy a magical, carefree vacation, and hearing about an incident like this is absolutely horrific.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash, which happened on Walt Disney World property near the Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
Car, Bus, and SUV Involved in Deadly Crash
It is the kind of news no one wants to hear. Late last night, State troopers responded to reports of a crash on East Buena Vista Drive. This morning, Florida Highway Patrol released more details of the crash.
According to investigators, the incident started when a driver of a Subaru Impreza lost control of his vehicle. The driver was traveling westbound on Buena Vista Drive. Once the driver lost control, it veered left, spun, and eventually hit a concrete curb.
After this, the Subaru veered into the bus lane on Walt Disney World Property. The bus was a 2009 passenger bus. According to the driver of the bus, they attempted to swerve out of the way of the Subaru Impreza, but they were unsuccessful. The Subaru and the bus collided, and the driver of the Subaru, a 33-year-old from Kissimmee, was unfortunately killed at the site of the crash. The bus driver, 53, sustained minor injuries but walked away mostly unscathed.

When the Subaru and the Bus collided, the bus entered an eastbound lane on Lake Buena Vista Drive. This caused the bus to also collide with a Cadillac SUV. The SUV was carrying four people, including two children. Thankfully, none of them were hurt in the crash.
