An unexpected visitor recently caused a stir at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests aboard the Toy Story Mania! attraction were locked into their ride vehicles, watching as a wild animal perched atop a decorative setpiece.
Toy Story Mania! originally opened in 2008 in Pixar Place before being integrated into Toy Story Land. The 4-D experience invites guests to compete in carnival-style games, blasting targets with virtual projectiles for points. While the ride itself is a high-energy celebration of Pixar’s Toy Story universe, its most recent star was not part of the original design.
A Surprising Takeover on Toy Story Mania!
Redditor u/sandy_shark903 shared photos of the unexpected moment, capturing a bird that had wandered inside the fully enclosed Walt Disney World Resort attraction. “There was a bird in Toy Story Mania today,” the guest wrote.

Disney Parks fans were quick to react.
“I could understand a ride like It’s a Small World, but Toy Story Mania is crazy,” said u/hello56845864.
Others joked about the bird’s cameo, imagining it as an additional target in the game.
“How many points?” quipped u/conscious_town_1454, while u/kittenmcmuffenz replied, “You unlocked the bonus round.”
Wildlife at Disney Parks
As immersive as Walt Disney World Resort is, Central Florida wildlife occasionally sneaks into the magic. Lizards, squirrels, and even small alligators are common sightings throughout the parks, but birds are rarely spotted inside fully enclosed attractions like Toy Story Mania!.
It remains unclear how the bird entered the ride or if Disney cast members were able to remove it safely. Walt Disney World Resort maintains strict protocols for handling wildlife encounters, ensuring the safety of both guests and animals. These procedures have been put to the test in the past, including an incident last year when a black bear briefly closed parts of Magic Kingdom Park.
