Water Pours From Busted Ceiling Onto Disney World Guests, Families Flee

Guests at EPCOT encountered an unexpected disruption last week when water began pouring from the ceiling of The Land Pavilion. The leak, which originated from a bathroom on the second floor, sent water cascading down into the area near the Soarin’ Around the World attraction, causing families to evacuate the pavilion.

On January 3, reports of a sewage leak in EPCOT’s The Land Pavilion surfaced, leading Walt Disney World Resort to send an emergency notice in the affected area. The leak reportedly began in an upstairs bathroom, spilling through the ceiling and onto the ground floor of the pavilion. Disney cast members quickly closed the bathrooms and Soarin’ Around the World to address the situation.

Instagram user @orlandoparksguy captured footage of the chaotic aftermath, showing water gushing from the ceiling and Disney guests moving away from the area. The video shows cast members working to contain the leak with towels while redirecting guests to unaffected areas.

Thanks to the swift response of Walt Disney World Resort’s maintenance and custodial teams, the area was cleaned up and reopened by the following morning. Soarin’ Around the World resumed normal operations.

However, the incident sparked debate among Disney Parks fans, with many questioning whether maintenance is lacking at Walt Disney World Resort.
