The first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has taken place at Magic Kingdom, and soon, Jollywood Nights will welcome guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Be Early

The first step to managing the holiday crowds is to be there early. Take advantage of lower crowds during the morning hours at the parks.

Head to the parks during early entry if you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. This will get you into any of the four parks thirty minutes before opening. During those thirty minutes, you can experience some top attractions with low wait times.

Remember, guests who purchase a ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party can begin entering Magic Kingdom at 4:00 pm. This makes the early evening hours extremely crowded. The same will happen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios once Jollywood Nights begins.

The time when party guests and regular park guests overlap can be extremely crowded. Go early in the day to avoid that crush.

Be Flexible

This is important during any vacation to Walt Disney World, but during the holiday season, it becomes essential. Head into the day with an overall plan, but be ready to adjust as you go.

Don’t be so focused on your plans that you aren’t allowing yourself to enjoy the magic as it comes up.

Enjoy the Disney Resorts

There is a lot of magic outside of Disney Parks during the holiday season. Plan to leave a Disney Park to enjoy a Disney Resort during your vacation.

Visit the beautiful gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Disney’s Beach Club Resort has a fantastic carousel each year that is an actual work of art.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Resort transform their lobbies with outstanding Christmas trees. These magnificent trees are worth the visit to these beautiful Resorts.

Take time out of the Disney Parks to enjoy the holiday spirit of the Disney Resorts during the season.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
