Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Dates and Details Revealed

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is one of the most magical ways to celebrate the holidays at Walt Disney World. Every year, Magic Kingdom puts on its best and sparkles and shines with a hopeful holiday glow. This year, the magic is back and better than ever! Today we learned even more about the merriest Christmas party on Earth.

Disney has been celebrating Halfway to the Holidays all week in honor of Christmas just being 6 months away. On Tuesday the dropped news about Disneyland. Wednesday it was Disney Cruise Line’s turn. Today Walt Disney World is up. We hoped to learn that Cinderella Castle Dream Lights would return but sadly that was not the case. However, the news about the brand new party at Hollywood Studio and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has warmed our hearts.

This year’s party will run from November 9 to December 22, 2023. With 25 nights to party you’ll have ample opportunity to experience the wonder of a Disney Christmas (without fighting those Disney Christmas crowds)! The event is what’s called a “hard ticket” event, meaning you’ll need to buy a special ticket to attend, regular park admission does not include this Party. The good news is, your Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket grants you access to the park in the evening several hours before the event begins, no day ticket admission required. This year boasts some returning favorites and all entertainment.

Returning Favorites

Each of Disney’s special ticket events has some sort of complimentary inclusion. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party offers up more candy that you could imagine with its trick-or-treat stations. After Hours events include all you can eat popcorn, prepackaged ice cream and bottled soda. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party though, that is my favorite. Cookie and Hot Cocoa stands will be scattered throughout the event complimentary. Every stand offers a different cookie flavor and we like to go from stand to stand trying them all. Not a hot cocoa fan? No worries, several locations offer up hot apple cider!

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks are back again! This special fireworks show is seen only during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The castle lights up with holiday themed projections in time to Christmas music. If you’re looking for a warm and fuzzy Christmas feeling, this show will give it to you. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks should top your must-do list. It is truly one of the best fireworks displays in the world.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is back too! Join Mickey and Minnie in their holiday finest as the usher in the season with all of their very best friends! DISNEY Princesses stroll along with their Princes at their side-a rare occurrence! The parade features an original song and incredible festive costuming. There’s also an appearance from the big guy himself! Santa and his reindeer bring up the rear of the parade and kick off the holiday in style.

Dance parties are back this year too, including Club Tinsel at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas on Tomorrowland’s stage (near Space Mountain), and Disney Junior Jingle Jam in Storybook Circus!

Some of your favorite attractions get a magical upgrade at Christmas including:

  • Tomorrowland Speedway with thousands of Christmas lights and a futuristic holiday soundtrack
  • The crew at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is filling their laugh canisters with some holiday cheer
  • Space Mountain – Holiday Run!! The high flying adventure rockets you on an adventure through space, filled with interstellar lighting and high-energy holiday tunes.
  • Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland becomes a Mad Christmas party as you spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.
  • Jungle Cruise becomes Jingle Cruise in an adventure packed with holiday-themed puns.

New This Year

See the Castle light up like never before! Join Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and the Snowgies to light the castle each night during the all new “Frozen Holiday Surprise.” This will be seen during regular park house AND Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Tickets go on sale July 6, 2023. The Oarty will take place on November  9,10,13, 14, 16,17, 19, 21, 22, 26, 28, 30 and December 1,3,5,7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22  Disney limits the number of people who can attend this party in order to create a magical experience and my favorite party perk of all: extra short waits for attractions. Last year’s party sold out almost every night so if you plan to attend, you’ll want to get your tickets early.
