Top 20 Useful Things To Take Into A Walt Disney World Park

Guests who visit Walt Disney World never have to worry about locating any item that they might find themselves needing throughout their vacation. With plenty of gift shops throughout the parks and Disney Resorts, guests can easily find items that might be overlooked while packing however this ends up using time and money. In addition to everyday items that most guests think of while preparing for a Disney trip, there are some other items that might often be overlooked but end up being pretty useful once in the parks. Guests who plan ahead and really think about useful items to have on hand will never find themselves needing to stop in a store and pick up a specific item as they will already have it tucked away in their bags. Being prepared is the best way to avoid losing time while enjoying the parks! Here are the top twenty useful things to take into a Walt Disney World park.

20. External Battery

With so much phone usage in the parks comes the inevitable low battery and need to recharge. A great item to carry around throughout a Walt Disney World vacation is an external battery which can simply be plugged into the phone and charge on the go as guests continue to explore and enjoy.

19. Cash

With credit cards and being able to directly charge things to Magic Bands many guests don’t carry cash with them, but having some on hand is never a bad idea. You never know when guests might need a few dollars, and it’s better to have the money on hand then be stuck without it.

18. Neosporin

Bumps and scrapes happen, and guests who are prepared have a small container of Neosporin with them at all times. This saves the time wasted finding and visiting a First Aid location and allows guests to disinfect on the go and keep on exploring the parks.

17. Band Aids

Same reasoning as Neosporin- it’s better to be prepared and have them on hand just in case!

16. Hand Sanitizer

Sure there are plenty of bathrooms throughout Walt Disney World where guests can pop in and wash their hands, but sometimes you just need some hand sanitizer. After a messy snack, touching something sticky while waiting on a line, or simply needing to disinfect after touching lots of railings and object, hand sanitizer is always a great thing to have on hand while on vacation.

15. Sunglasses & Case

The Central Florida sun can be pretty strong and guests will never regret having a pair of sunglasses on hand at all times. Not only does it save guests from straining their eyes squinting, but it also just makes life more comfortable. Having a case for sunglasses is also a great idea as it provides a safe place to store them without worrying about them getting crushed or scratched while in a bag.

14. Hair Clips

Women with long hair will definitely want to carry around a few extra hair clips. Having extras on hand if one breaks or if it becomes so hot that buns or ponytails are simply a necessity is a great way to avoid being uncomfortable in the parks.

13. Body Glide

With the high temperatures and humidity and constant walking in the Disney Parks chaffing can quickly become an uncomfortable problem. Having a quick applying product like Body Glide can help avoid any discomfort or irritation in the parks, making each moment comfortable and enjoyable.

12. Glasses Cleaners

An useful item that many guests might overlook while packing is a package of glasses cleaners. These wipes can be used on both glasses and sunglasses to clean off any sweat or grime and keep guests happy with clear, clean lenses.

11. Poncho

Walt Disney World is a place where rain happens frequently. From afternoon thunderstorms to the occasional rainy day, rain is a common occurrence in the parks. Guests are smart to pack ponchos and keep them on hand for any rainy periods throughout the vacation. By being able to simply pull out the poncho and put it on, guests can keep on enjoying their time in the parks and not being stopped by the rain.

10. Refillable Water Bottle

A great item to have to save money while in the parks is a refillable water bottle. With the high temperatures and frequent walking, guests should be drinking a lot of water to remain healthy and hydrated. Guests should always make sure to have a camera on hand while enjoying a Disney vacation so that they can capture all of the magic.

8. Extra Memory Card

In addition to a camera, guests should also carry around an extra memory card. If a memory card is lost or becomes damaged or corrupt guests can simply pop in a spare card and continue to enjoy taking photos of their vacations.

7. Pedometer

An item that many guests enjoy having while exploring the Disney Parks is a pedometer. Whether it is an actual pedometer or a device such as a Fitbit, guests love being able to track the distances and steps walked each day. With such large parks and so many great things to see guests might be surprised by just how much they walk in a day!

6. Change of Socks

One of the worst feelings to be stuck with is walking around with wet socks. If guests find themselves caught in a particularly bad patch of rain and end up getting their feet wet, having an extra pair of socks on hand allows them the opportunity to at least change into a dry pair and have a little bit of the discomfort relieved.

5. Light Sweatshirt

Throughout Walt Disney World there is plenty of air conditioning to keep guests happy and cool, but sometimes the temperatures can be a little too chilly. In addition, the winter months can bring on some pretty cool temperatures at night, making it a great idea to carry around a light sweatshirt which can be used to layer and keep guests comfortable.

4. Snacks

Smart guests pack small snacks to enjoy throughout the day. Long days in the parks require lots of energy, and packing small snacks like nuts, fruit, or granola bars is a great way to save a few dollars, ward off hunger, and keep everyone happy and energized.

3. Aspirin

Having a small container of Advil or Tylenol on hand is a great idea while enjoying a Walt Disney World vacation. No guest wants to feel uncomfortable and aspirin can help to easily relieve headaches, sore joints or feet, and any aches and pains that are distracting them from enjoying their vacation!

2. ID

While it might be second nature to always have an ID on hand, many guests don’t carry one in the parks. Having one on hand is always a good idea in the slim chance of an emergency, but also necessary as Disney is strict with carding anyone who is purchasing alcohol in the parks.

1. Phone

In this day and age nearly every guest has a phone and it is an item that should one hundred percent be with them at all times in the Disney Parks. Guests who have their phones on them can contact other members of their party, take photos and videos, and have easy access to the My Disney Experience App which allows them access to wait times, FastPasses, Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering, and other helpful information.
