Since the closure was first announced last November, fans have been vocal about their desire to keep the attraction alive. But as the final day approached, it became clear that the beloved Muppet*Vision 3D would not be making a comeback. Still, even though Disney’s decision was final, it did not dampen the spirits of the devoted Muppet fans who came together to celebrate the magic one last time.

What unfolded that day was nothing short of heartwarming, as fans who had grown up with The Muppets came together for an emotional send-off. Throughout the final day of operation, Disney World guests lined up eagerly for the last opportunity to experience the attraction.

The energy in the air was electric, as The Muppets’ timeless humor and unique charm had left an indelible mark on everyone who had visited the attraction.

As the final show of the day approached, emotions ran high, and a fitting tribute was about to unfold. Fans poured into the theater, some with tear-streaked faces, others ready to cheer their favorite characters on one last time. Among the attendees was Heather Henson, daughter of Jim Henson, who was the last to enter the theater—a symbolic gesture that made the moment even more meaningful for fans of The Muppets.

But it was what happened after the final show that truly captured the hearts of everyone present. Guests, inspired by the emotional atmosphere, spontaneously gathered outside the theater and began to sing. The song that echoed through the air was none other than “Rainbow Connection,” Kermit the Frog’s signature tune, and it was a moment that brought tears to the eyes of many.

The scene was both heartwarming and heartbreaking, as it symbolized the deep love and admiration fans have for The Muppets. Though the attraction has officially closed, The Muppets are far from gone.

The spirit of The Muppets will live on in the hearts of fans, and next year, Disney World is bringing The Muppets back to the park in a new form—Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will undergo a Muppets-themed makeover, which will introduce a new chapter for the beloved characters.
