Disneyland Expands Sleeping Beauty Castle Construction Zone
The construction presence around Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris Resort grew again over the weekend, and the latest addition to the barrier lineup has claimed one of the most photographed spots in the entire European Disney park.
Sleeping Beauty Castle Stage Now Blocked Off

New purple-and-blue construction walls appeared around the stage area in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle on Sunday, closing off a stretch at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. that European Disney Park guests typically use for photos with the castle as a backdrop. Disneyland Paris Resort has not confirmed whether the stage walls are an extension of the ongoing bridge refurbishment or the start of a separate project underway in the Central Plaza area. No statement has been issued about the new barriers.

The same user also shared an update on the ongoing refurbishment of the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge:

A Construction Zone That Keeps Growing
When the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge refurbishment began in early May, the walls were relatively contained — and Disneyland Paris Resort covered them with decorative scrim to soften the visual impact for guests trying to photograph the park’s most iconic structure. Since then, the construction footprint has expanded steadily outward into Central Plaza, with new barriers appearing at various points around the area as crews work on pavement replacement and other restoration projects alongside the bridge work.

Despite the growing disruption, Sleeping Beauty Castle itself remains accessible. The castle walkthrough and La Tanière du Dragon — The Lair of the Dragon — can both be reached via alternate entrances, and the bridge refurbishment is still on track to conclude in late September 2026.
