The 1990s gave us Power Rangers, a show that combined color-coded superheroes, dinosaurs, and giant robots into one glorious mix of action and cheese. Thirty years later, the franchise is still thriving, and the latest installment, “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Ritaโ€™s Rewind”, takes fans back to its retro roots.

Inspired by the success of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge”, this new 2D brawler delivers pixel-perfect nostalgia. Players can jump into classic Power Rangers battles, pilot the Dinozords, and face off against Robo Rita, a revamped version of the teamโ€™s infamous nemesis from the 2023 Netflix legacy film Mighty Morphin Power Rangersย Once and Always. The gameโ€™s premise offers a thrilling twist: Robo Rita joins forces with her younger self to stop the Power Rangers from ever forming, throwing players into a fight to restore history.

Beyond the nostalgia-inducing gameplay, the voice cast brings even more excitement. Several actors from Disney+โ€™s X-Men ’97 (2024) are lending their talents to the Rangers. AJ LoCascio, known for voicing the mutant Gambit in the series, takes on multiple roles, including Jason Scott (the Red Ranger) and Zordon. Isaac Robinson-Smith, the voice of Bishop, portrays Zack Taylor (the Black Ranger), and Jubileeโ€™s Holly Chou steps into the role of Trini Kwan (the Yellow Ranger).

This crossover of superhero worlds adds an extra layer of appeal for fans. But the cast doesnโ€™t stop there. Cristina Vee stars as Kimberly Hart (the Pink Ranger), and James Willems not only voices Tommy Oliver (the Green Ranger) but also plays Goldar and a surprise role yet to be revealed. The diversity and talent of this lineup ensure “Ritaโ€™s Rewind” will be a standout release.
