This Walt Disney World Resort theme park received royal treatment recently when it received a visit from the Crown Prince of Monaco and his family, where they discovered a new favorite ride.
Prince Albert II is the only son of Monaco’s Prince Rainier III and American film star Grace Kelly. Of course, the two had other children, Princesses Caroline and Stephanie, but Albert assumed leadership after the death of his father in 2005, starting a family of his own, who like many others, enjoy visiting Disney Parks!
As reported by PEOPLE Magazine, Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, and eight-year-old twin royals Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella visited the Florida theme park about two months ago to celebrate the New Year. Moreover, the regal Monocans attended a ceremony with Mayor Dean J. Trantalis in Fort Lauderdale.
While at the Most Magical Place on Earth, the family found a particular favorite at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. As per the Prince, the young twins found “the Avatar ride” particularly thrilling, and the whole group thought it “unbelievable.”
Although Animal Kingdom’s Pandora – The World of Avatar boasts two separate attractions in the Valley of the Mo’ara, The Na’vi River Journey and Avatar: Flight of Passage, we can assume he means the latter, which is an astoundingly immersive experience for many Guests. Set within the world of James Cameron’s Avatar films, Flight of Passage allows visitors to the bioluminescent exoplanetary moon to explore Na’vi culture and learn about the sci-fi world’s conservation efforts following human colonization.
Flight of Passage lets visitors bond with a flying Ikran creature to soar above the Valley and experience the different regions of Pandora from the air utilizing 3D screen technology. However, the family does have other Disney Parks favorites, as shared previously during their visit to Disneyland Paris for its 3oth Anniversary celebration last spring, when Albert, Jacques, and Gabriella stayed at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel for two nights.
In fact, during this time, the children rode attractions like Autopia, RC Racer, Space Mountain, and Tower of Terror, now their French favorites. Additionally, they got the magical experience of meeting Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle for photos.
