When it comes to Walt Disney World Resort, Magic Kingdom is easily the most popular theme park with the highest attendance every year.
After all, Magic Kingdom is home to the most classic, quintessential Disney experiences. Not only that, but it’s also the oldest Disney Park in Central Florida, making it especially memorable and nostalgic for many Guests.

But there is a downside to being the oldest Disney Park: the classic, older attractions are often subjected to technical difficulties, resulting in temporary closures more often than newer rides.
Attractions such as the Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan’s Flight, “it’s a small world,” and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad often experience technical difficulties, resulting in temporary closures.

At the time of this article’s publication, Magic Kingdom’s Pirates of the Caribbean ride is currently listed as ‘Temporarily Closed’ on the My Disney Experience app.
However, the one good thing about a temporary closure is that it’s temporary! Although Magic Kingdom’s Pirates of the Caribbean ride is currently closed, there’s a good chance that it’ll be up and running again soon.

It’s very unlikely that a serious technical difficulty has caused the attraction to go down for more than a few hours.
Until then, Guests may have to voyage on the Jungle Cruise instead. Or, you could always walk over to Fantasyland for “it’s a small world,” the ‘Happiest Cruise that Ever Sailed!’
