Passholders Harass Disney Cast Member Over Free Merchandise

While being a Disney Cast Member means that you can create magic for Guests every day of the year, it can also be a difficult job where you have to deal with demanding Guests. The topic of which types of Guests are the most demanding is up for debate, one group of Guests recently launched Magic Key Holders — AKA Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders — to the top of the list. And, unfortunately for those Key Holders, there is video proof of their bad behavior for all the world to see.

Throughout the year, Disney tries to offer Magic Key Holders certain perks and gifts as a thank-you for their loyalty. Beginning December 5, Magic Key Holders could visit Disney California Adventure and receive a free reusable shopping bag.

Magic Key Holders were excited to be able to get the bag for free, and there were frequent lines running around Silly Symphony Swings, as people waited patiently to get their bags. Unfortunately, about half an hour before the giveaway ended, Disney ran out of bags. And some Magic Key Holders were not having it.

A video shows several Guests yelling at a Cast Member, asking her what she would do about the problem. One woman asked if they could give out their addresses and have bags mailed to them. One man became increasingly upset and told the Cast Member they should all get free Lightning Lane passes. Remember, these bags were free, and Disney only ran out minutes before the event was sent to end.

Several people were seen filming the group and laughing about how ridiculous it was. They commented that the bags were free, and that it wasn’t the Cast Member’s fault that they had run out of bags. The Guests also had more than two weeks to get the bags.

Many people who commented said how ridiculous the people sounded, and other Magic Key Holders said they were embarrassed other Magic Key Holders would act like that.
