Guest-favorite Disney World restaurant set to close this summer

One of Disney World‘s most popular dining locations will close this summer to undergo an extended refurbishment.

Beginning June 18, 2022, the Guest-favorite Narcoossee’s restaurant will pause operations so that work can be performed at the dining location that will ultimately afford Guests an even more enhanced restaurant and dining experience.

On the restaurant’s page on the Walt Disney World website, Narcoossee’s restaurant, located inside Disneys Grand Floridian Resort & Spa near Magic Kingdom, Disney has posted a notice about the restaurant’s upcoming closure:

“Beginning June 18, 2022, Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be unavailable due to refurbishment. However, reservations at Narcoossee’s will be available through June 17, 2022. We expect to return later this year with an enhanced table-service experience.”

Disney has not shared specific details about the upcoming refurbishment or about what the refurbishment entails.

At the Walt Disney World Resort, Guests are invited to “delight in superb seafood, steak, and more in this waterfront hideaway. Narcoossee’s serves a spectacular, innovative selection of fresh seafood from both local waters and around the globe.

For land-based fare, savor options like grass-fed filet mignon and the Black Angus New York strip. Or, enjoy the best of both worlds with a surf-and-turf dish that features sirloin steak and a lobster tail.

And for a perfect ending to any feast, treat yourself to such sumptuous desserts as the chocolate torte and the almond-crusted cheesecake with Lambert cherry sauce.”

Guests can “slip away to this waterfront setting” at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for the best in American food and seafood selections.

Narcoossee’s has long been popular with Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and as such, an advanced dining reservation is highly recommended.

At this time, no reopening date for the Guest-favorite restaurant has been announced.

About Becky Burkett

I'm an enthusiastic writer who finds joy in random things like cold weather, snow, "I Love Lucy," "The Andy Griffith Show," journals full of blank paper, countdowns to Christmas, the month of December, "Toy Story," "Sleeping Beauty," my 4 kids, my 4 shih tsus, Disney Parks history, Imagineering and visiting the parks. I think Walt Disney is the standard against which genius should be measured. I love to write about Disney Parks, Disney history, all things Imagineering and PIXAR. I adore the colors, story and art direction of Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" (Team Make it Blue!), and "Toy Story" is life (minus "Toy Story 4"). I believe Walt Disney was so much more than an entertainment and theme park tycoon; I believe he was a savant with a vision for life and how it could be if happiness and kindness are strived for. I love Biergarten at EPCOT and 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian. You can find me croonin' with the birdies at the Enchanted Tiki Room, chillin' on the PeopleMover or hangin' with Woody and the gang at Toy Story Land. I'm always looking for Imagineers in the parks, and I'd rather meet Joe Rohde and Tony Baxter than anyone in Hollywood! Hey, if you dream it, you really can do it!
