One of the biggest changes introduced in Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) was its attempt to expand the Jurassic universe beyond the locations and concepts established in previous films.
The seventh movie in the long-running Jurassic series introduced a brand-new InGen facility on Île Saint-Hubert, a remote island used for experimental dinosaur research, while also unveiling several genetically altered creatures unlike anything seen before in the franchise.
Among them were the Mutadons, winged predators that combined characteristics of pterosaurs and raptors, and the Distortus Rex, a massive mutant carnivore that became one of the film’s most talked-about additions. Whether fans embraced these new creations or not, Rebirth undeniably added new locations, species, and story possibilities to the Jurassic canon.
Now, those elements appear set to make the jump into one of the franchise’s most popular video game series.
Jurassic World Rebirth Is Getting a Follow-up
Frontier Developments has released the first teaser for an upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth DLC expansion for Jurassic World Evolution 3, confirming a return to Île Saint-Hubert and that the Distortus Rex will also be joining players’ parks. Watch the teaser below:

Jurassic World Evolution 3 Continues to Expand the Films
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is the third entry in the park management sim series. “Help life find a way,” the synopsis reads. “Build your own Jurassic World like never before. Nurture generations of awe-inspiring dinosaurs with the series debut of juveniles, create and manage sprawling prehistoric parks around the globe, and let your imagination roar with powerful new creative options.”
Previous DLC packs have typically introduced new species, attractions, and campaign content, making Île Saint-Hubert and its prehistoric inhabitants an obvious candidate for inclusion.
The timing makes sense as well. While Universal remains quiet regarding the future of the film series (although a sequel to Rebirth is rumored to be in development), Jurassic World Evolution 3 has become one of the primary ways the franchise continues to grow between theatrical releases, allowing fans to interact with new dinosaurs and settings long after the credits roll.
