NEW Virtual Queue for runDisney Merchandise

Heads up runDisney fans! If you’re planning to stock up on gear this year, you’ll want to make sure you take note of new changes in place! With the start of race season upon us, Disney has a new system in place to help manage the long lines for merchandise to get you in and out. Because who wants to stand in line when you could be enjoying the race festivities?

Beginning with November’s Wine and Dine Half Marathon, guests will join a virtual queue to shop the gear on the first day of the Expo. Waiting in a traditional line will not be allowed, everyone will join the virtual queue which essentially will hold your place in line while you get to enjoy all that the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo has to offer!

Those who are familiar with virtual queue will find it identical to others Disney has put in place before for popular attractions like Rise of the Resistance and Guardians of the Galaxy. For those not familiar, Disney has released a step by step graphic to help you familiarize yourself before the big event on November 3rd.

While the Expo starts at 10:00 am, the virtual queue will begin filling at 7:30 am. You’ll want to.make sure you’re up and ready at that time because once spots are full, there is no guarantee more spots will come available later in the day.

Some other tips from Disney:

• Gold and Platinum Club runDisney Members do not need to join the virtual queue to access their early shopping windows during the first day of the Expo.
• Guests can join the virtual queue from the comfort of their hotel room or home, within approximately 45 miles away from Walt Disney World property.
• Each Guest enrolled will receive a QR code to present for entry.
• The virtual queue is required for the runDisney Merchandise Shop on Thursday, November 3. Standby lines will not be available this day and all Guests must use the virtual queue to enter.
• Guests may hold boarding groups for both an attraction virtual queue and a virtual queue for other applicable experiences, like runDisney Merchandise Shop.
• Merchandise is subject to availability and inventory may sell out.
