In 2010, Universal Orlando Resort was changed forever when the first Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened up, putting the theme park on the map as a real contender for Walt Disney World’s competition.
Suddenly, Guests were flocking to Universal’s Islands of Adventures instead of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Hogwarts Castle was suddenly as big as Cinderella Castle, becoming a destination for fans of a franchise that had never had a theme park presence before.

In short, ‘Potterheads’ were downright thrilled to have an entire theme park area to visit, complete with multiple attractions, shops, eateries, and other locations, all themed with the level of care and detail to rival Walt Disney Imagineering.
While Universal’s Islands of Adventure hosts the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, Universal Studios Florida hosts the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley.

The former includes Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade Village, while the latter includes Muggle London, Diagon Alley, and even Knockturn Alley. Now, it seems, we’re receiving yet another Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This time, we may see a bit of the Ministry of Magic.

Epic Universe is Universal Orlando Resort’s third theme park. This theme park is currently scheduled to open in 2025, and construction has been steadily humming along.
This theme park will offer Guests a third Wizarding World of Harry Potter, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, and more.
