Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was crafted as an ambitious, all-encompassing experience intertwining the beloved Star Wars universe with high-level immersive storytelling. The Galactic Starcruiser opened its doors on March 1, 2022, amid significant fanfare and anticipation. Moreover, early observations noted consistently open dates on the booking calendar, indicating a struggle to fill rooms. Eventually, in September 2023, Disney made the decision to close the Galactic Starcruiser permanently, marking one of the most surprising downs in their history of high-profile attractions.
Almost two years after its closure, the Galactic Starcruiser building remains standing. While once a hub of excitement and adventure, it now serves a different purpose; the space has been repurposed into office facilities for Walt Disney Imagineering.
