Must-Do Attractions For Your Next Walt Disney World Vacation

Walt Disney World with its four theme parks has a variety of unique experiences to offer guests during their vacations. When planning a trip, it can get overwhelming trying to determine which rides, shows, attractions to make sure you get to. We have ten attractions that we think are must-dos at Walt Disney World for your next vacation.

 

1. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

The top attraction at Walt Disney World is found in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Rise of the Resistance is an attraction like never before. With four different ride experiences in one, this ride transforms guests into the Star Wars story. From the very beginning, guests are immersed in the storytelling and Rey and BB-8 invite them to help the Resistance. Quickly things go wrong and guests find themselves in a fight against the First Order. Rise of the Resistance with its surprises, top notch technology and advanced storytelling is definitely the top attraction at Walt Disney World.

2. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Opened for a short period of time, the newest attraction at Walt Disney World is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Featuring the main mouse himself for the first time ever in a Disney ride, this advanced 2 ½ D ride allows guests to join Mickey and friends on an epic adventure. Hitting all the senses, this ride is one that the whole family can enjoy the magic together.

3. Avatar – Flight of Passage

Over at Animal Kingdom, Flight of Passage is a must do attraction guests won’t want to miss out on.  Guests fly on the back of a Banshee as they soar through the land of Pandora.  Breathtaking views bring to life the amazing landscape leaving one amazed at the beauty.  Amazing visuals and technology work together to bring to life this unique world.

4. Kilimanjaro Safari

Another must do a in attraction Animal Kingdom is Kilimanjaro Safari.  On this attraction, guests travel on the Harambe Wildlife Reserve which is home to around 34 different species.  This 18-minute journey takes guests through the 110 acres allowing them to see unique animals such as giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs and more.  Every adventure is different so guests will want to try to catch a ride a few times during their stay.

5. Mountains in Magic Kingdom

In Magic Kingdom, there are three mountains that guests will want to make sure they ride during their vacation.  Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad all offer very unique ride experiences from flying through space to traveling to the laughing place and taking on the wildest ride in the wilderness.  Each of these rides will bring laughter and screams to day.

6. Slinky Dog Dash

Catching a ride on Slinky Dog while in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a must-do on a vacation.  The newest roller coaster to open in Walt Disney World, Slinky Dog Dash offers a joy filled ride through Andy’s backyard.  From turns, bumps and a small sling-shot, Slinky Dog Dash transforms guests into toys along for adventure.

7. Rock n’ Roller Coaster

Different from Slinky Dog Dash is Rock n’ Roller Coaster.  This launch start coaster takes guests on a fast-paced race through the streets of LA with two rollover loops and one corkscrew.  Guests are able to rock and roll with Aerosmith songs along the way as well.  This ride is sure to bring a thrill to the day.

8. Expedition Everest

Expedition Everest is another roller coaster that guests won’t want to miss out on during their vacation.  Located in Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest is the only coaster that takes guests backwards and through the dark all while trying to escape the Yeti.  If guests are looking for thrills, this is one coaster they won’t want to skip out on.

9. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

This ride is a unique experience that takes guests into the storyline of the Twilight Zone.  Guests are invited into the abandoned hotel where they load a service elevator.  This elevator takes them through the twilight zone dropping them into the story when they least expect it.

10. Classics at Magic Kingdom

When visiting Walt Disney World, guests will want to make sure they experience one if not more of the classic Disney rides. “it’s a Small World”, Peter Pan’s Flight, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise are all classic Walt Disney World rides that take guests into the story and imagination that started it all.  It wouldn’t be a complete Disney vacation without experiencing one of these great Disney classics.

Those are the ten must-do attractions while visiting Walt Disney World we think you won’t want to miss out on during your vacation.  There is so much to see and do while on vacation it can be hard to narrow down what is a must-do.
