Morocco to Open New Waterfront Restaurant
Examiner.com is reporting that Epcot will add another dining option to the World Showcase Lagoon. The Morocco pavilion will open a waterfront restaurant, called Spice Road Table.
Spice Road Table will offer both indoor and outdoor seating. In it’s announcement, Disney Parks Blog describes its offerings as “small plates and refreshments inspired by the cuisine of the Mediterranean.” The rumor mill has the restaurant offering Tapas dishes which would be a perfect fit for it’s Moroccan theme.
Full details have not been released of menus, but construction is starting immediately. The construction walls were up when we visited today. Spice Road Table is expected to open by the end of the year.
Currently, Epcot’s Morocco has two dining options: Restaurant Marrakesh, a table-service restaurant that also features live entertainment, and Tangierine Café, a quick-service option. The pavilion also has a snack kiosk.

It will be exciting to have another on-the-water dining spot to view Illuminations. The Rose and Crown and La Hacienda are wildly poplar choices in part due to the incredible views. They are certainly some of the tougher restaurants in which to get reservations in the evening.
