‘Moana’ To Take Over Another Part of Disney World Next Year

Get ready, theme park fans—Moana is expanding her presence at Walt Disney World Resort in an exciting way! A brand-new Moana (2016)-themed photo op will be introduced as part of the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, bringing even more of the adventurous Polynesian heroine to life.

This limited-time art installation will take center stage near Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana in EPCOT’s World Nature area, adding another layer to Moana’s growing influence across the Central Florida Disney parks. It’s set to replace last year’s step-in photo op inspired by Disney’s Wish (2023).

The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts has always been a celebration of creativity, and the 2025 event is shaping up to be a showstopper. From breathtaking artwork to interactive exhibits, this festival is a must-visit for Walt Disney World Resort guests.

Key highlights include professional artist-led workshops, live street performances, and hands-on demonstrations that invite visitors to unleash their inner artists. Guests can also enjoy themed food booths offering culinary masterpieces inspired by cultures from around the globe.

A signature experience of the festival, the collaborative paint-by-number mural, will once again allow guests to contribute to a larger-than-life piece of art, creating a shared memory with fellow Disney Parks fans.

Moana Steps Into the Spotlight

The new Moana photo op is expected to be a standout feature of the 2025 festival. This immersive experience invites guests to step into Moana’s world, capturing magical moments in a vibrant, frame-style art installation near the interactive Disney Princess attraction.

Returning Fan-Favorite Photo Ops

While Moana’s arrival is a major highlight, the festival will also bring back beloved photo ops from previous years, allowing guests to step into iconic works of art. These include:

  • “Luncheon of the Boating Party” near the International Gateway
  • “Washington Crossing the Delaware” at the American Adventure Pavilion
  • “Mona Lisa” between the Italy and Germany Pavilions

Other returning favorites include photo ops featuring Mary Poppins and Sleeping Beauty, which will once again delight guests on the bridge to World Showcase.
